Meh -- antiquated and dull. I give it 3 stars from what I remember as a child.
Ok, so I purchased this title from a different vendor - but I feel there needs to be this negative review HERE - so others will not be swept away by the great ratings. This IS a decent title - but frustrating - is an understatment. If you are not strong in memory capacity or math, for that matter - or if you hate riddles and mazes - don't purchase this - you will hate it. I think it misrepresents itself in that aspect and is an exercise in patience. It is beautiful to look at and and a marvel of ingenuity for those that LOVE PUZZLES. I can say that I figured most things out quickly - but that my wife almost broke the screen - hence, another reason, for this review. Games are supposed to be fun - not an exercise in anger or frustration. Keep a notebook - screenshot certain areas and, fianlly, use YoutTube to look things up when you are absolutely stuck - and you may just have a decent time. Not reccomended for casual gamers. The negatives - imho - far outweigh the pros- I cannot advise this purchase. I give 2 stars because while I was able to finish it I cannot say i felt anything - but relief - that it was over. Convoluted clues - and simply irritating mazes abound. Overall? - Bleh.
I'm a harcore fan of great shooters/explortaion and the like. Even more so, games that challenge. This mess? (I'm being gracious) is an exercise in frustration - it is awful - it is a head shaking - eye rolling piece of nonsense. I do not need to go into details - pay the price and see for yourselves. OR - skip it and save some hard earned. TERRIBLE controls - TERRIBLE combat - etc etc etc ... -10
The absolute worst combat system I have ever had the displeasure to use. I have had this title now, for years. It taunts me - sitting there on the shelf. "Hey" it says "come play me" I simply whistle, go about my business, and pretend I never heard it. I do not care how good others have said the story is. How can one enjoy a title when they are so severely handicapped right out of the box? Now understand - I'm no stranger to difficult games. This title - takes pain in the azz - to a level that isn't healthy. To say the controls are "clunky" is being polite. REALLY polite. My advice? there are a A LOT of other older titles from this time and era, that, simply stated, put this to shame. I do, however, wish SOMEONE would do a solid remake. This all being said - spend your hard earned - elsewhere - even at 10 bucks It simply - isn't worth it. ~ SC ~
Want a GREAT shooter that puts this mess to shame? - Play the original UNREAL reskinned GoTY edition and you will not look twice at this. Terrible. -3 stars

It saddens me to give such a lousy rating - but I do not see the appeal of this game - whatsoever I purschased this befre joining GoG and it sits collecting dust. Tried it a few times and simply was yawned to death. I think it would be a lot more appealing if it had some better combat dynamics etc. GL - 2 stars for trying.
Good Gods -- wtf did i just play? -- what a terrible system - not intuitive at all --- frankly BORING (to the point I actually fell asleep at the kb!!!). I Uninstalled and have NOT looked back - don't waste your hard earned on this MESS. Negative TEN stars.
