X-Blades HD

Nostalgia

I played this game on my PS3 back in the day and i bought it also on gog few days ago for the nostalgia factor. I played the game on an Asus Strix G15(2022) Ryzen 9 6900HX, RTX 3070ti and 16 GB ram. The game run without any problem on modern hardaware, and i didn't have any crash. I played the game with a controller so the controls where smoth as butter. The visuals are ok, the look of the game is cartoonish so the graphics hold pretty well for a game from 2009, remastered in 2022. The game is a classic hack and slash, story is almost inexistent (fight betwen dark and light). The game has two endings. After you finish the game you can chose to play the game for the second time to se the second ending. Not worth it in my opinion. The only downside is that the game dosen't have achievements because the PS3 version had trophies. It's a shame and for that reason i didn't play the game for the second time because there was an trophy on PS3 where you need to see both endings and finish the game on pro difficulty. I finished the game in 8,5 hours on Hard difficulty not dying once. If you read you bestiary to see the wekness of each monster the game is a breeze even on the hardest difficulty PRO,which uncloks after you finish the game on hard. The moves are inspired from God if War, Evil May Cry and other hack and slash from that period. The power-ups are fun to use. The assest are reused:Same monsters but with different atacks, and the only thing that the player must do is to change the power-ups to which the monsters are weak, same lcoations etc. I reccomend this game to any player who likes hack and slash type of games. It's a short fun game and maybe you should buy it at discount. I paid for the game 8,5 euro and finish the game in 8.5 hours.1 euro per hour it's not a bad deal. 10/10 for me beacuse the length of the game is perfect. You don't have time to get bored by fighting the same monsters over and over again for 20+ hours like in other games.

Of Orcs And Men

Interesting game, nice story

I wanted to play Of Orcs and Men from the period that i had my PS3 but i didn't do it for various reasons. Now after 11 years, and with the thought of playing an Old Scholl RPG i decided that it's time to play the game. The game runned very well on modern Hardware without a single crash. The visuals are not that great (PS2 more than PS3 era). The only problem that i had with the game is, when i conected my Xbox controller. The game didn't recognize the control until i disconnected the mouse dongle from the usb port. After this the controller worked just fine. The story of the game was very good, the characters bonding was very interesting to watch. To be honest it was very fun to play as an bad ass orc and a goblin. The gameplay is basic, you have a set of 3 tree skills for both characters from which you can chose. If you play the game on Extreme difficulty build Arkail defensively and Styx offensively. Invest al your points in stamina and mind ( health/ Damage reduction for Arkail) and (health, dodge for Styx). Gear Styx with gears that gives him dodge bonus, and Arkail with gear that gives him damage deflection. Also chose anger management path for Arkail in Extreme difficulty when you will have the chance.Use Styx to shadow kill at first to reduce the number of enemies but to gain experience you need to fight. After you grow in strength i sugest to planify an fight when you have the chance in order to gain xp points and level. At the final fight i had level 22 and i was very tough. If i was at a lower level i wouldn't manage to win it. Maybe a higher level than 22 would be recommended. The build of Arkail and Styxsaved me to be honest in that fight. I didn't have any problem with the achievements to pop out,and you can get them in one play, with some manually saves at 3 points in the game when you need to make a choice. I finished the game on Extreme dificulty without dying once in 27 hours. I recommend this game to everyone who like old-school RPG.

Bright Memory: Infinite

Pretty, fun, relaxing

I played the Game on an ASUS Strix G15(2022) gaming laptop Ryzen 9 6900HX, RTX 3070Ti and 16 GB Ram. I managed run the game at constant 120 FPS with everything set on ultra, Ray Tracing on, and Nvidia DLSS. I didn't have any crash or find any bugs. The only thing that i noticed it that the achievements are a little bit glitched and apper a short time after you complete the action for earning them. I talk about the ones that reuqire to kill a number of enemies with a specific weapon/skill. I finished the game 3 times (7 hours) in order to get all the achievements ( firts time i played on revenge difficulty, second time on hell, third time on easy). You can finish the game on the higher difficulty without dying once if you learn the games mecanics , skills, and when to alternate fire from your weapons. There are 3 boses in total (the first one easy to ebat, the second one it's a two stages fight but also easy to beat, the third one it's a two fight stage and the second is a litle bit dificult beacuse you cand get stuck on the environment and day if you are not carefull). The game has nice visuals, nice lighting effect, may cause dizziness to people who are sensibile at strob lights, and this can be annoying and make the game unplayable for this people. You can turn the motion blurr off to compensate a litle bitt on that side, but it will not be enough for people sensible to strobe effects. The gamplay is very straight forward, the stealth it's ok, you have a variety of 4 weapons that can be uprgaeded and use alternative fire. You have a sword and also the EMP arm that can be also uprgaded and can learn up to 4 skills for this two. The AI is ok, and if you are not carefull you will die, sniper enemy can one shot you on the highest difficulty without a breeze. I really recommend this game to anyone who likes fast paced FPS. I enjoyed the game and i give it 8/10 even if you can beat the game in 2 hours. In order to compensate this buy the game when is at a discount.

WE ARE FOOTBALL

Interesting alternative for FM

Before we start the review this is not a Football Manager Kind of Game. It's more like a Champonship Manager type of game. You can finish a season in 2 hours from start till end so it's a more casual game. You can build your stadium, training ground, museum etc. For every player you have talent stars from 0 to 5 which show the potential of the player to grow. For every player you can select a limited number of skills in order upgrade the already own skills or to build the player as you want. Ther is youth academy also were all the regen players appear every season. The concept is simplistic the tactics also. The usual formation types, styles of play and duty assignaments for the players are present. NOTE!!! This game does not have real players. If you want to play with the real database ched the FM Zocker site to downlod and install the real players database. After you instal the database which is very easy you have acces to the game with real players, teams, foto of players for the major leagues and so on. You can train in different leagues like Gibraltar, Andora, Luxemburg, India, Bosnia , Lithunania, Algeria, Morroco and other countrys so there is a big database of players at disposition to chose from. The game has carrer mode and usual mode. In carrer mode you chose a team from the league that you desire and if you progrees and so on you will recive contracts to work all around the world. If you buy the DLC you can train also National teams. P.S: you can train female or male football teams. With the custom datbase instaled from FM Zocker you will have also the real female teams, names, and so on. There are asloo press conferences, chosing the budgest etc but at a light level not like in FM. I din't encountered any bug until now and i played 91 hours. I realle recommend this game as an alternative to FM for a more casual play, more easier progression to the season. For me it's a blast and i really enjoy the game with the real players database instaled.

Steelrising

Another typical Spider Title

After playing all the Spider Games starting with Of Orcs and Men,Mars War Logs, The Technomancer, Bound by Flame and Greedfall i know what to expect from Steelrising. The game is build on the same combat system as Greedfall. In Greedfall the rifles were OP, and this is case also with SteelRising. It's a Souls Type of game but easier. If you invest points in the right skills you will become OP in the shortest time. Best weapons are the grenades/Charleville Musket. I played as a Dancer maximizing alchemy, agility and vigour and some points in Durability/Engineering and Power. In the first part of the game i used Nemesis Claw and late game i used Franklin Claws. The game was very easy compared to other Souls like Games. The combat was fluid and simplistic. If you master the dodge/stamina metter and time your atacks corectly you can beat any moob/boss in a heartbeat. The major problem of this game was the optimization.I played the game on an Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (2021) Amd Ryzen 4800H and RTX 2060 and 16GB ram at 1920X1080. I played with details at medium/DLSS on balanced and the perfromance was horrendous when i reached Paris. 60 FPS with deaps in 27-3O FPS. Not a pleasent experience. This game is verly poor optimized. I decieded that i need to make an upgrade and i buyed the ASUS ROG STRIX G15 (2022) Amd Ryzen 6900HX and RTX 3070TI , 16 GB Ram.I played the game in 1920X1080 with everything at high/DLSS on quality, and details at Medium at a constant 90 FPS with dips in the 50 FPS occasionaly. This game has a bug, and even if you reduce the sahdows in order to increase the details to high the game will stutter because even if you are under 8GB of VRAM the game will increase after 5 minutes the amount of VRAM from 7,5 GB to 8.2 GB for no aparent reason.I hope that future patches will solve this. Other than that i enjoyed the story, the scenery of France Revolution in an alternative universe. The game is short (20H) but i really recomand this game. 8/10
