Metro: Last Light Redux

Janky but good

If I were to play this game when it first came out I would have probably dropped it, as I was not really a fan of the whole post-apocalyptic concept. Since then, however, since I grew to love the Fallout series, along with certain other changes to the world around us, the Metro games acquired a certain feel that makes them somehow more appropriate and comforting. The game itself definitely feels janky by 2025 standards, but if you don't expect something that it isn't, you'll be fine. Stealth mechanics are okay, so is overall gameplay and story.

Fallout: London

A true Fallout experience

This mod is the most fun I had in Fallout 4 since it came out in 2015, and I spent A LOT of time in that game. The British setting does add a lot of novelty by itself, sure, but much more importantly, the game actually feels and plays better. I particularly love the atmosphere created by the ambient sounds and music, but other aspects are great as well: voice acting, storytelling, gameplay tweaks (although Survival is tough as heck), tons of new stuff, simply put. To address the situation with technical issues many (but certainly not most) people have: this game is known to have them even when playing vanilla, solutions are simple if you don’t complicate things for yourself in the first place (like trying to juggle mod profiles in MO2/Vortex without fully understanding what you’re doing instead of following the official installation instructions to the t). Don’t let the negative comments prevent you from trying out this mod.
