Disco Elysium - The Final Cut

Absolutely sublime

An absolutely amazing journey through a rich and broken world with genuine, fleshed out characters. The main story of the game is simple enough, solve a murder. The way you can get there though is entirely up to you, with the ability to miss step and do the craziest things along the way. The fully voiced characters and thought cabinet are masterfully done and the soundtrack is absolutely sublime, melacholy and wistful.

Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut

Nice space shooter, if it works.

I've played the original version of SSZ and upgrade my copy to the Director's Cut. SSZ is a good space shooter, with beautiful backdrops and immersive music. I was therefore looking forward to playing the Director's Cut, unfortunately it is plagued by a variety of issues which haven't allowed me to play the game as I would like. First off I can't seem to use my controller, I have a Razer Sabretooth X-Box controller which is recognised by the game. Switching to it as default control method makes it do nothing at all, none of the buttons work, I can't navigate menu's or fly the ship. The game is in controller mode though as it shows the "A for continue, B for back" context hints on screen. Secondly the game seems to constantly want to start in a botched windowed mode, it's set to full screen in the options but the window border is visible when I start the game. Switching to windowed and back to full screen in the options menu fixes the issue for the current session. It would've been nice if the developers had spent a bit more time working on the bugs and issues before releasing the Director's Cut.
