I don't mind difficult games, but this game makes the difficulty just frustrating. There are so many things that can cascade and go wrong that you can just sit back and watch your party get decimated with nothing you can do to stop it. It always seems to happen more when you have a higher level party. It just got so annoying I didn't care anymore. I don't recommend playing this unless you like torturing yourself.
This was one I picked up on sale and just thought it looked interesting. I have found myself playing this way longer than I thought. I even see multiple playthroughs in order to beat my previous times/cost/area. It is a nice game for thought, but doesn't require a lot fo fast reaction. Nice casual game when you want a challenge but not to be on the edge of your seat.
I have now beaten the game 3 times and I am still loving it. This game is just fun. I love the exploring and gathering minerals. I love the quests and if I had a complaing it would be just that I wish the game were longer. The DLC seemed pretty short, but I just can't get enoug of this game and I can't wait for more.
I bought both Warcraft 1 and 2 as soon as I saw them available. When I was younger I never played 1. I started to play it and realized it was a nightmare for controls. The most fun I had was making the orcs say stop poking me. So at first I was disappointed. Then I played 2 and I remembered why I love these games so much. I have had so much fun with them. Yes there are some control issues with 2 that are out of date. I also wish it had stacking in the builds. But aside from that I absolutely loved it. I’m giving it a 4 because of the control issues and 1 is just not fun for me.
There were some things that I definitely didn't like about this game, but after the first, I was glad to play as the CPU candidates. I would say though that there were some things that were really cringy with one of the enemies, but it wasn't a whole lot of the game. The gameplay is the same and this game definitely drives forward the Neptunia story line from the first.
So my only problem with this game is time for 2 reasons. The first is that I want to play this game more and I don’t have the time. I find myself trying to think of other places to go when I’m not playing. So I’m getting really into the game. Which is a good thing and speaks a lot for me trying to beat the game. So the reason I’m bringing that up is because the game has my attention and keeps me coming back for more The second time issue is that I’m not liking the time limit on getting through the main part. On an rpg like this I want to spend time at the beginning of the game exploring, but I’m feeling like I’m being rushed to get through the main quest. And I also don’t feel like I should even do the side quests because everyone gets hungry and wants to eat all the time as you travel. So that wastes more time that I feel like I need to spend on the main quest.
I hate leaving this review, because I do love this mall of these Sierra adventure games still for the nostalgia. But they just didn’t age that well. The controls and everything just seem old and it just isn’t as fun as it was. None of it seems as interesting anymore. Still worth a playthrough. But definitely wait for them to go on sale.
