No Man's Sky

Mixed feelings

I’m not sure about these games. At times I really enjoy this game. I like the resource gathering and survival aspects at times. That is my favorite part of this game. That and the space travel. This game feels very empty. There are other characters in the game, but it still feels empty. I get that part of it is that is by design, but at times I feel like I’m playing castaway in space. I also don’t care for how significant the changes are when they update this game. At times it feels like a different game. In the end I guess I like this game and can’t stop playing it at times. Then I quit and I don’t play it in a long time. This game had a lot more potential but it just feels lacking.

COVID: The Outbreak

Verified Owners Rating Says It All

I find it absolutely dumb that so many people are rating a game that they don't own. The point is so true that gamers so love their FPS games where they basically murder people outright, but somehow this is off limits. Get over it. As for this game, it is not perfect, but it is a fun management game. I can get pretty complex, and the people are pretty picky. My son and I are playing and we ran into some problems where we were trying to force travel closed and the people protested and so we opened up the things they wanted and 34 million people died. Oops. But yeah, it is an interesting balancing act and probably is a bit closer to real life than we care to think. It makes you think, which I think is a good thing in a game and has quite a bit of challenge, but not unreasonable challenge. So overall I say would say my experience is a 4 out of 5. Good game, but not to the outstanding level.

Never Give Up

Very Hard. But That's the Point

Holy crap this game is hard. But that is the whole intent. I do like this game. But I honestly can't just sit down and play it to get super good at it. The challenges are good and the dialogue is funny. The problem for me is that the levels keep adding to the same original levels for like 5 in a row. At points it can seem somewhat tedious and repetitive because of that. Sometimes it adds a new challenge to that same level. But it still feels like I'm doing the same thing over and over. So I have to take a star off for that. Still a fun game. But you better have patience to play it. Get ready to die a lot.

The Expression Amrilato

Good VN and Learning Experience

This is a good VN. It has a typical story as far as that with a unique twist in that the main characters can't communicate with each other. This game shows the struggles of how to communicate with someone without speaking the same language but also teaches the language Esperanto within the game. It is a very unique game because of this, and if you have an interest in learning a new language, I highly recommend this game.

Nice slow paced game with progression

I do enjoy a slow paced game at times. This game definitely allows you to take your time and has a nice progression to it. Sometimes these games can feel overly complex with things to manage, but this one has a reasonable pace. It's not a perfect game, but it is definitely a good one to pass some time. It has good controls too that seem intuitive that is sometimes lacking in games like this.

Super Hexagon

This game is hard but fun

First of all, I can’t stress enough that this game is no joke. It’s one of the hardest games I’ve ever played. Which is weird because it’s very simple. You literally only need to use 4 keys on your keyboard to play the whole game. And two of those keys are for menu navigation and to start the game. The game basically needs the left and right arrow keys for the gameplay. But it is very difficult. I like trying to beat my times from before. So I keep playing it over and over. This is also a game that you can play for just a few minutes and get something out of those few minutes. I usually play this game as a warm up to playing other games. I think it will always have a spot on my hard drive to play for a couple minutes or to just play for an extended session and try just one more time. It is a cheap game but I’ve now sunk almost 50 hours into it and I don’t thing I’m going to stop anytime soon. Even if I beat it. Give it a try it’s worth at least giving it a couple hours especially if it’s on sale.

Nice Fun Puzzles

Here’s a game you can play with one hand and have a beer in the other. It’s a cute game. Nice little storyline. Also a short game. You just burn things and try to make combos. Kinda fun to figure out. About 5-10 hours of gameplay here.

Donut County

Good game. But short.

I did like the game. This is a nice relaxing game. But you definitely won’t be relaxing long. The game can be over in less than 2 hours. I finished it twice in under four hours. I just wish it was longer. But overall the game is good, just probably not worth the price unless it’s on sale.

Star Control III

Unpopular opinion

I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I kinda like this game. I bought it new in the box over 20 years ago. I played through it a few times and I’ve played through it on gog too. It’s not a spectacular game, but I did enjoy the new races and some of the plot. Other than ship to ship the mechanics of the game are completely different than SC2. If you want this to be like SC2 you will be disappointed. The resources aspect to this game is not good. Nor is the ship building. Also, the 3d map is kinda clunky and it is not easy to use or get used to. I wish they had gone with a map more like SC2. If you want to try this game it can work if you go in not having expectations of it being like the other titles in the franchise.
