ELEX II

It's....Ok.

I've played much much worse. It is trying to give off Witcher 3 vibes, but with the janky controls and graphics of Witcher 1 and 2. Voice acting leaves much to be desired. Controls are infuriating. Trying to move one foot to the left makes you move ten feet to the left. Story is ok. Quest objectives are completely vague and nebulous. If you were to walk away from the game for a long time and forget what was going on, you'd be lost on your quests. I can forgive lack of quest markers, that is just immersive. But I cannot forgive that your quest log doesn't even give you directions.

Cyberpunk 2077

It's a great, choom.

Pros: -A modern game that actually has edge. No paw patrol in this game. -Gunplay is alright -Sword play is alright -Hacking enemies is pretty neato -Big world, lots to do -Keaneu Reeves -Immersive world -An ever present reminder of our impending climate and end stage capitalist collapse ^_^ Cons: -Engine is still janky -Cars can be a little clumsy to control -Relationships are very shallow and not fleshed out -Can get a bit repetitive sometimes -Fixer missions can get REALLY repetitive -Buying homes doesn't really serve a purpose, and not much for immersion.

Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition

Good concept

It's a good concept, but feels incredibly unfinished. I had an alright time, but I can't say I had a good time. The mechanics of ship infestations is really just frustrating. The only sure way to keep your ship free of critters or harmful substances it to allow it to be colonized by beneficial fungi. So if you want to design a clean ship, that is simply not possible. For the ranged enemies, they have super laser aim, and do not miss. Boarding actions/ derelict ships are cool, but it can take literal hours of drudging through accurate enemies/ comical levels of infestations for sometimes little gain. I've also run into ships where entire compartments can't be accessed as the RNG of their positioning had them separated from the rest of the ship. I got the game for free, and I can confidently say: save your money.

Agony + Agony UNRATED

Janky to the point of almost unplayable

I love the concept of this game. I love the setting. I also don't mind stealth exploration games. I CANNOT Recommend this game The setting of Hell is apropos, as attempting to play this is indeed Hell. You character moves in a jerky motion sickening kind of way. You also spend half of your time getting caught on random geometry. Oh, a little mound of dirt? STOP RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE! I almost forgave it until I was nearing the end. Spoilers ahead for those who for some reason care about such things: You end up in a canyon getting chased by a giant demon. The mechanics of said chase are fairly easy to understand. When I get to the end where i'm supposed to be safe in a cave, it just plays the cutscene of the demon killing me anyways. I thought "Maybe i'm doing something wrong?" and looked it up on YouTube. Nah, Im doing the chase right, the game is just bugged out and won't let me progress. Uninstalled. I made around 20 attempts, all ending the same way.

Summer Memories Deluxe Edition

Protag is a kid

Yeah yeah, anime style adult visual novel. Something the store screenshots leave out is that the protag is a LITERAL CHILD. If that's what you're in to, get help.
