The news about the 2.0 update show up in game, but the game is still v1.54958. (It's actually pretty difficult to figure out what version the game is, in the Options screen on the bottom left it says: "EXE: 1092 DATA: 718 MOD", the version doesn't show up anywhere on the GOG store page. I got the version from the GOG download page, but that means it's not possible to know what version the game is before buying it.)
Love the concept and I'd love to enjoy this game, but it's too tedious to deal with ship designs. If you set it to automatic then it will design ships which you have no resources for. Why does a mining station need weapons which require rare resources? If you do it manually then there is way too many things to deal with, like how many of each things you need? Does a spaceport need docking bays? Who knows, it's not explained in the game. There is no way to view differences between design upgrades. You press the upgrade button, what was upgraded? Who knows? So if you don't deal with ship design then you are wasting resources on ship components you don't need. If you are dealing with ship design then it's extremely tedious and boring. I want to focus on where my ships are going and what are they exploring, not if they should have 2 or 3 fuel storages.
I don't know how you guys at CD Projekt Red pulled this off, you must be some psychology wizards. The complainers did not play your previous games, and just wanted quick gratification. I can't express all the feelings this game brought out in me. Seeing the noodle vendor in front of the building where I last ate with Jackie. Going to Judy's apartment and hearing "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" on the radio. Or when I went to Skye in the Clouds, wow, or talking to Johnny at the oil fields. The music in Totentanz (I'm really glad I didn't have to shoot up the place). Listening to Eurodyne playing guitar on the yacht with Johnny chilling in the background. The ending was the saddest I felt in a long time but it was perfect. Hearing all the goodbyes after the end... Then I watched the launch trailer again and it broke my brain. Thank you guys for this experience, looking forward for the expansions (if they are just half as good as the Witcher 3 DLCs I'll be super happy), and any new game from you is an insta preorder from me.
