As a massive Fallout fan (and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan), I gave this game a shot while it was on sale and never regreted. Even at full price, imho, it is worth to buy it as you really have something to do quests wise. This game is not easy, for example: - pickpocketing is hard as it includes you to have high stealth and pickpocket - combat: man, oh man. I died hundreds of times, For first 10h of playing, I really saved all money to buy a better handgun to give myself SOME chance (this can be annoying for someone, but for me it really was a feeling of ruined world where in Fallout, you really can get your hands rather quickly on powerful guns) - enemies: they can and will hurt you! - encounters: this can be sometimes really annoying as you always find yourself surrounded if you try to avoid but hey, that is life, you can always choose option to attack to get some leverage in a fight - buying stuff can be really difficult as often there is no ammo for your gun so always have 2 different kind of guns - yes, I will play this game few more times for sure with different char setups Dialogs are nice, music is nice but of course, this game have some flaws but give it a shot! If you like Fallout with a touch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. consider buying this game especially if it is on sale :)
First of all, I only played few Resident Evil games so I am not here to compare both games. This is solid game with few annoying things like missing option to change ammo so you need 2 different ammo clips for 2 ammo types which ofc take space in inventory. But for me it was smaller things which did not ruin gameplay. Spoiler: Story wise, it is some standard story about evil corp, virus, etc. so I see why people see this as RE ripoff. It was nice to play game from few different stories with different characters. All in all, I really enjoyed playing this game and if you can buy it on sale as I think full price is not worth paying, only if you are hardcore fan of similar games.
I really love Metro games, also read books and I have a feeling they did good job with game adoptation. Gamewise it is simple FPS shooter with gear upgrades but story and atmosphere is where this game excels. All games with all DLC in series are worth playing. Current price on sale is unuder 10€ which is really a bargain for this serial! Buy it, play it and enjoy in russian depression atmosphere!
I really love this game, finished it in 2019. do not know why I did not play this earlier. It has it pros and cons of course: So... Pros: - great graphic - great atmosphere - cool weapons - you can blast you way or just be silent without killing anyone (almost :) ) - overall great experience Cons: - sometimes can be a bit boring in sense of being repetitive (I think that I crashed in 99% I was in some sort of wehicle) - a bit cheesy that you are "chosen one, the great one etc" All in all, I really enjoyed in this game and recommend it to anyone.
If you like to move slowly and do not care much about facing your enemies straight on this is game just for you. It has always been my favourite game. Great story, great ambient and after all...you are playing as greatest thief world has NEVER seen :)
