Shadow Warrior 2

A Really Fun Game

I really like Shadow Warrior 1 (2013) and enjoyed Hard Reset (the other shooter developed by Flying Wild Hog). I also really enjoyed this game, even though it is more of a "looter shooter" in the vein of Borderlands. It has procedural generated levels that are... fine. The story is... fine. However, the gameplay is awesome. I really enjoyed slapping elemental effects into my weapons. And the, whenever you run across enemies they oftentimes have an elemental weakness. This made for really fun and frantic switching of weapons while dashing and jumping around. Quite fun!

EVERSPACE™

A Good Space Shooter

I have been craving a game similar to Freespace, and this game scratched the itch. Whether you will enjoy this game probably depends on how much you like roguelikes. If you hate them, you probably won't care for this game. There is a "time limit" for each level. After a period of time, super powerful ships jump in and you have to run away. Some might find the time limit frustrating. It is a more "forgiving" roguelike. After every death you get to keep your credits, which allow you upgrade your ship. Upgrades are permanent. You can also find powerups, one of which essentially turns off the time limit in each level. I definitely recommend getting the "Encounters" dlc. It adds a lot more variety / missions to the game.
