[The game still in dev] Let's take their description to the test: 1. Master a unique, hardcore combat system -- Melee feels just right, you can feel the differences between 1h+shield, 2h and dual-wielding. There is no bows(even though there is marksman skills - You just summon a spectral bow to perform), no magick ranged attacks as well. Just craft the heaviest armor, eat some food with +maxHP/dmg reduction and you can eat hits for breakfast...I Waited with the review till I encountered a dragon boss... It had 2 melee attacks, dragon breath, summon minions and a ground-indicated beam that appeared under my char - very "hardcore" (all easily dodgeable). NOTHING! souls-like as steam description says... 2. Customize your character by choosing different Ways of Power, classes and skills -- It's a lie, there is no class system. You get some stat point to distribute between strength endurance dexterity and intelligence, but you can only put 5 in each category so effects are minimal(+15%phys dmg/10%cdr/~250maxhp etc. something you get from gear anyway) Then there are weapon/armor traits that are supposed to specialize you in chosen type but again these are minimal. NO SKILLS LIKE in OTHER D&D games like persuasion, lockpicking, sneak etc. Something that would make you build the way you want. Skill is another story because you are limited to 4... 3. Explore, craft, gain reputation and unlock new quests -- The world is pretty - I can see inspiration from BG or PoE. Crafting is shallow atm. Quests... I dont skip any dialogue but they are just boring - find/bring/kill and after 5 min you don't remember what it was about. They are static - nothing to choose, just click continue, continue, continue... 4. Choose one of 4 playable races (Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs) -- They dont matter... Even during character creation, you can choose personality good/neutral/evil...Doesnt matter. You want to be evil pos that steals and murder? nope! You will help everyone with everything.
