Behind the pretty graphics, decent Battle game play, good interface, there are still a few important things missing from the game. The most important for me: 1 - Only 2 factions in the current game. Need to do way better than that. 2 - No diplomacy, No Allies option. By having only two factions it limits the variety of gameplay you can have especially in the skirmish mode (Skirmish have only a 3 sides max!) 3 - upcoming editor does not include the option to generate a random map and then edit it. You can only make a new map from scratch! Some of us with a busy schedule don’t have time for that. I was hoping the game was going to meet at least the standards set of fantasy turned-based games such as AGE OF WONDERS SHADOW MAGIC, HOMM III GOLD, and WARLORDS III DARKLORDS RISING. all of these games had up to 8 sides to choose, and good diplomacy and Allied choices in Random map generation. I'll wait till the DLCs come out but I am not very impressed so far. :(
This game had the potential to be so much more than what it is. It has an added campaign and some new units and that's it. Nothing more over the previous title: Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon. No Random map generator, No Hot Seat, No Skirmish mode against the AI in single player. Animations & sounds very poor. On the Plus side, it comes with an editor, Overall very disappointed.
The editor is not very user-friendly. The game description states "Contains map editor for user-generated maps and missions" Unfortunately you cannot just generate a random map with predefined settings and then Play it. the game overall has a low replay value
Dungeons 3 is much more refined than the previous titles in the series and a top contender to be the true successor of Dungeon Keeper. The Random Maps feature is a big PLUS. All the developers need to do is to refine it a little more, like adding more features to the Random Map Generator to increase the Replay value more, and maybe add an editor in the future. I would love to see a good expansion later this year and more DLCs. Please Developers don't stop working on this game! This one is a winner (I am willing to pay $50 -60 for a good expansion)
