at first, i thought (this game sucks, becuase its too easy and cheesy) but the more i played, the more i kind of liked it. also, i have win 7 and the game works fine for me, at least it has so far! all in all, considering how much i paid for it (i paid 99 cents to get 8 of interplays finest), its not bad at all!
to me the first one is much like the second one, both games have you traveling through space collecting stuff and selling it so you can outfit your ship with stuff. in fact, this game is a lot like privateer which is also available on this site. if you liked privateer, you'll probably love space rangers! of course, privateer was first person, and space rangers is third person, but otherwise quiet fun. another one you may like that i don't think is on GOG: FTL Faster then Light
what i like about it: i could actually get somewhere in it. it is an adventure game for people who are not very good at adventure games! quiet simple process really!
this game is great, it will suck you in and keep you enthralled for years. well. hours, but you get my point. i played the fallout series when it first came out back in the 1990's, and my friends played it too if i remember. we used to play it together and swap stories about our adventures. this game will not just give you an experiance, but stories as well. its just plain awsome, you need it in your collection if your serious about retro rpging!
