Very well made and fun game. I think it's similar to age of empires/settlers. But a bit quicker and less complicated. So I prefer this game. Gameplay: build base and conquer the map. Modes: - campaign (= actually tutorial and I like it) - single map skirmish - horde (defend base. haven't tried yet) Everything is upgradable and I love you can build a wall <3 I'm halfway campaign. Play time 5 hours. Rating: 9/10.
2 hours in and I like all aspects. Art, sound, music and gameplay is excellent. So refreshing to only have 4 options in the option menu. I bought it for 10 euro and I'm ok with the price. The game's maybe a bit difficult, compared to 2024 games, but luckily you can save scum.
Cool car combat in sandboxy levels. Advice: don't play longer than 30-40 mins per session. Very good remake of part 1. I still love part 1 and this game is also very good. Read the review on GOG from James_Blood to learn more.
Turn based sci fi shooter. Upgrade and complete the story. All elements in this game are perfect and is mixed perfectly.
A fine game overall. It checks off all content that you wish a great game has: local multiplayer, endless mode, vs ai, puzzle mode, campaign. Cute graphics, sound effects and music are fine. But the core gameplay feels shallow to me. Maybe because you can only move horizontal and it's a hassle to clear rows when pressure is high? But a fine game can also be enjoyable. And maybe you will experience the game in a different way.
60 minutes into my first Spiderweb Software game and I really like the gameplay. There's a real time map, a lot of skills per player. Weapon stats comparison in your inventory, a tutorial, in game manual, dialogue options. Based on other reviews, this is a huge game. But even if this game was 3 hours long, I still would have bought it for 10 euro. My recommendation: buy Spiderweb games to support a small game company that cares about delivering a high quality product.
Tetris documentary + tetris games to play. Overall a polished product: nice presentation and the games even have a manual. The older tetris games are all emulated, I think and have some emulator functions, like rewind, save/load, aspect ratio and tv/lcd filter. The newly created Tetris game is very fun to play, because it lets you play older tetris games for a few seconds - that's your chance to score extra points. I am afraid I have to buy more nostalgia software from Digital Eclipse in the future... Tip: the 1989 tetris gameboy version is playable inside the new Tetris Warp game.
God Of War (2007-2010) gameplay with a pirate make over: walk from checkpoint to checkpoint and fight bad guys till a door opens for the next area. The environment and characters look good and the gameplay works, no complaints. But the fighting feels so basic. I've already experienced it in God Of War on PS2. I think this is a good action AA-studio game, so it's not fair to compare it to -for example- Ubisoft games. Personally this game is not for me, because fighting the same bad guys is repetitive for me.
Hotline Miami, but with my favourite sauce: hong kong action cinema. The game has a superb presentation. I love the setting and gameplay idea. Unfortunately Hotline Miami games are not for me - too difficult. And I am not a fan of the gameplay combination of diving to evade, but it's top down so shooting is a bit hard. Also, 1 bullet = death. So if you love Hotline Miami + hong kong cinema, this might be the perfect game for you.
Switch from lane to lane to collect money on the road. The level is finished when the song stops. Collect money to unlock any of the 5 other cars or 5 other tracks. I finished 1 race and had about 2K-3K. I needed 10K. I stopped. The graphics and music are relaxing. The steering is not relaxing. It's lane switching. If it was actual driving and maybe evading other cars, it could have been a 3/5 rating. I got this game as a gift.
