WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS is what I'd call the series hitting its stride and maturing into an impressive cautionary tale of resisting hate and evil while providing a smooth gameplay and a fun narrative. The talented guys at MACHINEGAMES improved upon the winning formula they created in WOLFENSTEIN: THE NEW ORDER and have made wonderous improvements in terms of sound design, graphics, animations, cutscenes and etc. B.J's backstory and traumatic upbringing is thorouly explored and carried a lot of weight and sometimes hit so close to home for me. I really appreciate the developers explored tough-to-touch subjects and how toxic masculinity and cruelty B.J suffered as a child has shaped him into a strong and virtuous man who is in tone with his masculinity and is emotinally mature. This is the absolute best of the series and a definite recomendation from me. 9/10.
"The Old Blood" is a solid introduction to the new iteration of Wolfenstein. The amount of lore and world-building that went into this game is astounishing. The game doesn't have the strongest of graphics but its sharp art style keeps you engaged.
"Metro: Exodus" is the absolute pinnacle of the franchise and in my opinion the best the series has to offer. The Ukrainian-Maltese developers, 4A Games, really have hit their stride and matured as a game studio and this is evident in "Exodus". I really like the direction they took the game with not-so-large open levels that encourage exploration but are still small and filled with detail so the player does not lose sight of what's important an what's not. "Metro: Exodus" is a freaking powerhouse when it comes to graphics and visuals. You just have to experience the level of details and the overall beauty of the game for yourself as words do not do it justice.
The sequel to the remarkable "Metro: 2033" is more polished in all the areas the previous game shined and made a lasting impression. The gameplay is more fluid and less rusty, the story is more engaging, the characters are memorable and well-written, the score is haunting and the graphics are dope and really stand out after all these years.
Life-altering experience, pinnacle of video game magic, and full of heart.
"Dead Space" was the very first game me and my little brother played. It was so scary we had to take turns playing it with the lights on and holding on to each other. I'm so glad it's available here on GOG. Now, we gotta help bring the rest of the franchise here.
Well well well, how the tables have turned! I used to be a staunch Cyberpunk hater back when it launched to a slew of various technical issues but since that dark day, CD Projekt RED (props to them) has totally changed the game to a state that is worthy of immersing yourself into. Oh and by God this game is good! Everything, every single detail, every single aspect of this game is created with thought and love. From sound of various distinct districts to multiple characters you come in contact with thoughout the main campaign. Cyberpunk 2077 was my first contact with the cyberpunk genre and I am glad to announce it made me fall head-over-hills for this vast and beautifully-made world that CD Projekt RED has created. This is better that GTA, this is CYBERPUNK 2077! 10/10.
