i found 9 tables, though because of the dreadful selection interface(play pinball to select table) i did not even manage to select all of them. some tables is as a result easier to select than others. the pinball part of it is not that bad but, having to play pinball to select a table is just eww!
they removed the scavenger and the computer assistant. they made the gameplay overly complicated by having 3 ways to train creatures(training room, combat pit and actual combat) and an extra need to keep them happy(casino). they removed the old research system and made only specific creatures able to research. they replaced about half of the creatures. only the warlock, vampire, mistress, skeleton, bile demon and troll remained. gone is the beetle, spider, fly, demon spawn, dragon, orc, ghost, horned reaper(as a normal creature) and tentacle. the mana and the ability to upgrade spells is useful but, the spells never gets as strong as in the first game. they did not supply an editor either. the game works terribly on ati graphics cards of the time and only worked well on nvidia cards. i got it working perfectly on my gt 630m in windows 7 though that was before asus placed a restriction on my system.
no buildings can be constructed, because there is no workers. that makes it a demo, showing off the graphics only. it is also insane to give every person ingame masks. it does not require windows 10, it works perfectly in windows 8.1 and in windows 7. i would not recommend trying to run it on gt 630m, that is kind of slow. gtx 770m runs it well however.
i do not know what they did but, the gog version only works in windows 10. after my best pc crashed, i only have one pc with windows 10.
the gameplay is a clear improvement. the campaign could have been done better but, the multiplayer is good. it did however not work in modern systems as it kept crashing on the menu but, gog fixed it.
i played the 1 episode demo back in my child hood and my skills have clearly not dulled. i completed the level with the shark tank in 1 try. starting with an extra life(easy difficulty) is useful. i have been trying to get the full version but never succeeded until now.
the game does not run. i tested it both in windows 7 and in windows 10 and neither system is able to run it. the game is only compatible with windows 95 it seems. it can not however run in a virtual machine, because its hardware requirements is too high. this game is unfortunately stuck between old and new versions of windows. my old pcs might be able to handle it if i find it but, my 3 year old pc with i7-8700k and rtx 2080 ti can not even start it because of incompatibility with windows 10. the game is simply not compatible with the nt windows arcitecture.
all it does is show off each fighter`s special move. i purchased it because i thought it was the game but, it turned out to just be a demonstrarion of the game`s content.
whenever i try to attack the game is automatically paused.
they disabled backspace on the menu, preventing players from deleting the pre-set name and the pre-set number of kills to win, which is 0. that prevents multiplayer from having a set goal and the player name must always include the name of the pc.
