EVERSPACE™ 2

Grindy and boring

I tried playing it twice, since I did pay for it and didn't want my money to go to waste. But after a total of about 15 hours, I just couldn't get into it. Some games make the grind work, but this isn't one of them because the world feels empty and boring. The combat is also uninteresting. I loved other space games, e.g. Freelancer and Rebel Galaxy Outlaws. They were much more fun and I'll play those again instead.

GWENT: Rogue Mage

Not much fun but cheap pastime

I though this game would at least be close to Thronebreaker fun-wise, but it's quite far away. The biggest is problem is that your card decks aren't as interesting as the ones the AI has. The AI has these perfect synergies that made me envious and frustrated. Still, if you have nothing else to play, you can sink quite a few hours in the game. I'm giving it 3 starts instead of 2 because it's just 10 euros.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Love it!

The game became addictive to me once I understood how everything works (not that it's complicated). It has some challenging missions, especially in the beginning until you get better equipment. But the world and atmosphere are very nice, and the music is really great! The game can be played for a LOT of hours. Some people complained about grind but I didn't see it that way. You just explore, trade and fight in a well made world. To me it's definitely worth the full price and hope to have a sequel/prequel.

Project Wingman

Love it!

For just 25 euros you get quite a lot of missions, good gameplay and beautiful graphics. Story is good enough to let you focus of blowing stuff up. There are also mods to let you unlock more planes, they're very easy to use. Missions don't have timers, which I like. But they also don't have checkpoints with autosaving, which I dislike. The game works very well with a flight stick, I'm using Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS. This was my first game of this type, so I recommend it to newcomers and Ace Combat fans alike.

Cyberpunk 2077

Awesome gameplay, poor performance

I love the hacking! Gunplay can also be cool after you find some more powerful weapons. I haven't progressed much in the main story because the world and exploration sucked me in and I've been doing side-quests. I'm disappointed in the performance: to get a mostly stable 60 FPS on a Ryzen 3600 and Vega 56, I need to use a mix of medium and low settings, with a few on high (e.g. textures). I haven't encountered a single crash or bug in about 5h of play, so that's good. I recommend the game, definitely worth the full price. Once they fix the performance, it will be a 5-star.

BioShock™ Remastered

good game

Even in 2020, it's a good game. I played the remastered version and it looks well, runs great at 4K with a medium tier video card. I haven't had a single crash or glitch and was able to enjoy the nice story and gameplay. Worth the full price in my opinion.

Terminator: Resistance

A wonderful surprise

I played Terminator: Resistance on Steam, unfortunately I don't think it was on GOG right from the start. I really liked it! The atmosphere is great, especially if you are a fan of the movies. The missions are pretty good and so is the combat, although you need to play at least on hard to make it more interesting. You also earn experience which you can invest in various skills, like in an RPG (e.g. hacking, explosives, etc.). You have dialog choices in your interaction with the main characters and there is also some romance, how nice is that! You really get to care for the characters. The slight negatives are the outdated graphics and rather lazy AI. Overall this game was a very nice surprise for me as a long time Terminator fan, I wonder why it had so little advertising. For me it was definitely worth the full price despite its flaws. Hope to see a sequel!

Metro: Last Light Redux

I liked it

Great post-apocalyptic atmosphere, nice graphics, runs smoothly, story is ok, gameplay is good. If you don't mind having to watch plenty of cut-scenes (this is a story-driven game) then I thoroughly recommend it even at full price.
