When I first ran it on my PC, it could barely run but the game was great! This game blew the FPS genre out of the water and my young mind with it, I had a blast playing it even on lower settings. Three video cards (and more than a decade) later, I can finally play this game at full settings and it looks amazing! Don't let the negative comments overlook this gem, this is one of the best FPS ever. There's a huge variety of weapons, enemies and the nano-suit gives you options to have temporary stealth, super punches+jump and flash speed. The only negative I found is that the shotgun is not as satisfying as in Doom II or Soldier of Fortune. The hit boxes seems to be a bit erratic and takes some getting used to. It's not perfect but its entertaining and beautiful 9.5/10.

I had a childhood friend who wanted me to play Total Annihilation (TA) at all costs. (He still plays it to this day btw) I tried it (partly to shut him up) and ended up finishing the campaigns, the official expansions and went on to finish the Supreme Commander campaigns and it's expansion too! I was into RTS games but this game blew my mind - it's that good! TA is remembered fondly as one of the Top RTS because it offered something unique RTS, the automation of production of units - a never-ending, Infinite War! These games offered a tactical viewpoint to the Player that pierced into the strategic layer - a battle is not only a Tactical Skirmish but a true Strategic Experience. This was also reflected in the scope of the maps that are Huge! Supreme Commander has better Graphics and Sound than TA. The only half-negative point I can mention is that the story is not top notch but it has also 3 factions instead of two, with distinct visual as well as numerical features. Last thoughts for this game is that it's a Must Play (as well as TA), I strongly recommend buying this game (on one of the numerous Sales). 5/5 and zero regrets :)

I absolutely love Diablo — it’s my all-time favorite game! I own a boxed “not-for-sale” copy as well as a digital version from GOG, and I’ve completed it more times than I can count, with every run offering something new. If, like me, you bought Hellfire the moment you saw it — only to discover it didn’t quite live up to the original masterpiece — then the Belzebub Mod is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. It enhances gameplay options, adds support for modern resolutions, and introduces new classes — all while preserving that pure Diablo atmosphere. On top of that, it includes additional quests that expand on the original lore in a respectful and engaging way. Still on the fence? There are no microtransactions and no mobile tie-ins — just pure Diablo goodness. You’re welcome ;)

The quote is from a Civvie 11 review, a true connoisseur of FPS games that shows the appropriate respect to legendary Raven Software when mentioning them. Raven Software also created Hexen II and Soldier of Fortune - Wishlist them and buy them! One of their hidden gems is Take No Prisoners, not a masterpiece but different, original and relatively open. Solving the game without a walkthrough is an achievement in itself, good ole' fashioned hard. The game is fun and the gore is over-the-top on purpose. The world is open (with a main hub, Hexen-like), the variety of weapons+items+enemies is v.good and looks good considering this was a time when 640X480 was the highest resolution available - see the comment about dgvodoo2 and implement it. I bought it after playing it 2~3 decades ago and I have zero regrets 5/5.

Hint: In the starting area, there's a door that's partially open. Inside that room there's a blinking Electrical circuit box. To proceed you have to shoot the Electrical circuit, this will open the door. You're welcome ;) Saw Civvie11's entertaining review and decided to try the demo. I didn't like it much at first (got stuck in the starting area) but then got the Doom II Enhanced edition. After finishing the OG masterpiece and its master levels, I decided to give this gem second shot and I'm so happy I did. After finding in a YT video how proceed fromthe starting area, it was a blast to play. The Super-shotgun and the Vulcan cannon are a real treat for any FPS fans (powerful like the weapons in Boltgun) and the levels are fun to explore. This is an older shooter with it's limitations but plenty of fun! Thank you Civvie11 and Thank you GOG! Try the Free Demo then buy it! 5/5

Bugged my 10yr old son to play it, he didn't want to at first but finally convinced him. He had never played with a Keyboard and Mouse before, only controller games. He started it and only stopped in the 5th stage. This game is fun! It's one of the OG 90's Classics that has started a whole genre of FPS, it has been praised to the moons of Mars and back with good reason. Buy it (along with Doom 2) and Enjoy the Classics! In the original you have to physically move the mouse forward to move, this one uses WASD like most games. Bethesda did a great job!
This game was branded as the "Bad game" that turns good boys into murdering monsters, utter non-sense. There would be no GTA if it wasn't for Postal. Do you want to play the OG that started it all? Then you owe it to yourself to give this one a try :) The Dude is not a good person, and if you finish the game, pays for his deeds. Enough said. Play it, confine violence to the game-world and Enjoy it!

In 1995, I still remember a friend of mine (who also had Myst and UFO Enemy Unknown) trying to connect his PC to a TV using coaxial cables. When he succeeded, it was Glorious! Tell me, how many sequels did this game spawn? Clones? Movies? If you play FPS games, you need to experience this one. You wanna know what made it so special? Well there's only one way to find out and required specs are low. Buy it! You're welcome ;)
