This game has siphoned so many hours of my life, in a good way! I don't play video games every day but when I'm tired, or when I'm bored, even tough I have a lot of games between gog and steam, I just start playing this game. This is without a doubt my pick up and play game. I don't think I reached end game quite yet because I get sidetrack by so many things.. but that's good as there is a lot of content in the game. I would give this game a 5/5 but that would be very biased so I'll be realistic and open and give this game a 4/5. Exploration really shines through here, the game uses some type of generation to give you different systems, worlds, fauna, and more. They did a great job with this game so no play through is ever the same when it comes to these things. There is some heavy lore that you have to seek out and learn about in game and online (I don't know if the online stuff is in the game as well.) but all in all, this game is exploration galore so enjoy a vast vast world(s). I cant say much here due to my personal setup but Performance is generally very good, despite sometimes being bugs and or memory leaks upon big updates. I play this game using a Framework 13 (on GNU+Linux) (i5-1240p / 32GB Ram / 1tb nvme) with an RX6700XT in a Razer Core X v2 eGPU enclosure. The game's settings are high (not ultra) with x16 Anistrophic filtering and FSR 2 on Quality. At the time of this review, I wish they would introduce FSR 3.1+ because 2.0 is not that great visually nor performative in my experience..Make sure you use Quality if you plan on using FSR 2.0 as Native is very taxing for some reason.. This game is not an MMO, closest thing to this game is kind of like a seamless live session where you invite or others invite you to their group, you go and free roam and or do missions. But you wont come across players in the open world unless you guys are in a group together. Which in my opinion its still great. Do yourself a favor and just buy it already.
You know what? After careful deliberation before the one gameplay hour I got today, i knew exactly what this was.. I LIKE IT! simple premise, great pricing though I wish there would have been more stages (currently there are 3) and i wish I could change my girl.. I was really hoping there would be more than 1 girl to pick :( however, combat wise, weapons wise, and customs' wise, I say the game is pretty good. Love the art style and the gameplay, kind of 'addicting' you find yourself playing for a bit until you look at the clock and viola! an hour has been siphoned out of you! This is a very arcade like experience with very light RPG elements all wrapped up in a simple on rails shooter. I say, buy it, have it around, thank me later :) **Inserts pepe raising his glass meme here** PS: Whats up with the actual title?? Turret girls? or Turret and girl? I was under the impression you will get more girls >:{
Extremely happy with this game, money well spent. This game reminds me of the golden age of Need for speed underground in the 2000s. This take on what seems to be Japan was a great move, I haven't gotten far but so far I am enjoying that you get to deliver sushi. Its refreshing to see things like this on a racing / drift simulator type game. The graphics are great, I appreciate the real life cars (licensed) I really love the manga style cut-scenes and the story, and also the music is great, great selection/variety of radio stations, and the much needed tutorials for me LOL. Some of the things I didn't particularly liked were the absence of civilians roaming or even inside buildings like restaurants. I also would have liked to see some kind of structural damage in things like cars or maybe even trees, though this may be some sort of limitation due to licensing and portrayal of brands and whatnot; that I understand. Aside from that, there aren't much things I can say that are a negative of this game. Great job to the devs, I can certainly see myself sinking in hours to this. Thank You for such a cool game. PS: Tokyo Drift, I'm out.
Solid game, I own this game on steam and just bought it on gog for the sole reasons of actually owning it, and because of how awesome it its; The soundtrack is the audio version of this game. I haven't beat the story but I'm close to it, so far the combat is great, gory, and it has that DOOM feel. The enemy variety is great, and the levels as well. The amount of options is also great, and provides many different ways to scale out performance. In my humble opinion this is a solid PC game.
This game has been an absolute blast. This game surprised me a lot. Never mind what some reviews says and dive into this one. The game is massive and you can do so many things... its amazing how much they packed in here. Take your time don't rush and just enjoy the game. I gave it a 4/5 because the one aspect that's actually not all that well is the sound mixing. I don't know what happened there but you'll need to tweak the sound levels and crank up your speakers/TV volume so you can get somewhat decent sound levels.. On that note once you get passed characters speaking gibberish, you'll enjoy the game for what it is. I absolutely love this game despite that!
Just saw this here this morning; automatic buy! I have this game on steam and to see it on gog, my goodness that is awesome! this game's story is a breath of fresh air vs. having to play GTA, at least at the time. The game doesn't change its still good and being on that Asian setting really does set the game apart from the other open world games. The story is like some sort of Asian action flick and the DLCs are pretty good, short, but good and expand more on the Sleeping Dogs universe.. The tracks are banging, there were a lot of artists I started listening to because I listened to their tracks in this game, the game play is good, and It is nicely optimized; at least for my hardware which was all AMD at the time. Long story short get this game you will not regret it, specially if you dig true crime.. I wont spoil , that is all.
This game was awesome! I will be buying this solely to support the devs, this game is both wacky, fun, and certainly anime-ish. The story mode length is OK, wished there was more development on the characters. The game play has lots of variety; has "dating sims" hack and slash, even some driving, though not that great, but is still an amazing game. The soundtrack is cool too, and even after you complete the game it has some things for you to do so... yeah get it! at the time of me writing this is 3.79 USD.
If you can get passed the graphics, some glitches, and some crashes be advised that this game is indeed a journey. I personally haven't had any crashes at all, I'm playing this game via wine within ArchLinux along with DPfix and goodness this game really captures how a town would be. This game has solid story and solid voice acting, It is also a weird mix of supernatural, horror,thriller, and somewhat of a simulator too, Once i beat the game i found myself missing the characters and the town of Greenvale itself. Quite the powerful experience. Also be warned that the controls are kind of awkward but thank goodness they are rebindable; also there are some technicalities which stand out... specifically the audio mix of the game. I'm an audio engineer and these things sticked like a sore thumb to me; I honestly felt sad because I could have done a way better job than whoever did that Lol. Anyhow, this is a great game despite its flaws, If you love story centric games this is your game! I would definitely recommend this to all my friends and enemies too :) such a great game.
