CyClones is an FPS game in which you are the one man army that needs to foil the alien invasion of earth. It was an interesting game when it was released back in 1994 and was based on a 100% in house game engine nicknamed STEAM. The games most unique feature was the unique mouse control system. The equipped gun's cross-hair is controlled using the mouse independently of player movement, the picking up items, the game's UI and interacting with the game world is all controlled using the mouse. Sadly CyClones was never the blockbuster Raven hoped it would be, despite getting good reviews was largely ignored by the gaming community. Pros: Some of the later weapons are very satisfying The music however repetitive is still good A decent array of enemies Cons: Mouse look can be very wonky at times leading to some jerky shooting Keys and other items are hidden in secret areas that you have to discover either by yourself or very careful scrutiny of the 3D map The story is rather mediocre Hit detection is a little wonky at times leading you to missing entirely while the enemy is happily blasting away at your armour Bottom line: It's a fun and interesting game but if you don't have a lot of patience for finding hidden items to progress you may struggle with this.
