It's crazy that in the background is playing rayman 95 dos sountrack.. like how did they come up with idea that sountrack from happy platform game could fix into this dark shooter game from the pits of hell? Any rock song literally would have worked better than this.. not to mention how the original rayman ost maker passed away 5 years ago and it makes it even worse because in the haunter walls of quake you hear music from a death composer..
For me who played original demo of this game. The "competitive" balance patch who nerfed forexample cluster granade into dust is a deal breaker for me in this package. One of the frag shells of cluster granade seems to deal only 5-10 damage which is ridicculously low not to mention all the 4 clusters are always going into random direction. Also direct hit of the cluster granade only takes up to 15 damage. Cluster granade used to make damage up to 75 if it was properly hit, now its completely useles. Also cpu seems to have too good sight for normal granade. Also missile is being heavilly nerfed. And it also pisses me off because I liked that in the original balanse of the game. Where are holy granades and cow bomb from the default item drop packages? Seems like they are being removed too its another negative for the mistakes made by balanse patch collection. I hate to say but its a little bit disappointment. Those who made this balanse patch did not make the game better but only nerfed the weapons that I liked to use. If you definitely love worms armageddon, get the original cd-version.
It could work with xp/win7 but with windows 10 menus are super laggy no matter if you tweak craphic settings from the game and also as someone here said the enviroment bugs and makes it unplayable... I wish they would add warning with incompability beucase currently its a bit misleading (i assume all games work with win 10).
Game is almost as good as I remembered, except I had one crash at level 6 or so.. I would give 1 more star if it werent the crash.
The port as far as I can see is flavless except one minor thing with the dosbox.. It just runs the game too fast. I would say the game runs 25%-75% too fast compared to original. It makes it harder to play since some attacks are already fast in standard speed, as a result the fights ends in an unwanted result since timing of some attacks are too hard to make with extra fast speed. =( wish they would know things like these since they are professional at porting old games. But nothing else I compain in this.
My os is win7 32bit. Installation worked but when i try to launch the game it says carma_hw stopped working and it crashes. Do not buy - unless you want to spent hours figuring out how to make this work out.
