It's a shame they changed the formula for the second game. I was quite hooked by Crysis and Crysis Warhead and sort of expected the same wide open maps in the sequel, but instead they opted to make it more of a corridor gauntlet. The suit is nerfed quite a bit, and the aliens are now generic antropomorphic semi-robots. It's still a good game, but plays very differently and is not quite as good as the first game in the franchise.
Still a very good game. Probably the best character of the bunch, too. But unfortunately the game does have a tendency to crash. A shame nobody gave it the same treatment as the remastered trilogy.
This game is still good after all these years. I can only imagine how awesome it must have been to see it when it first released, so ahead of its time. I'm an old gamer, but I never had a PC powerful enough to even consider playing it. I'm glad this came out now that I can finally give it a shot. Good story, good gameplay, very modern still.
If you ever read Jack Vance's Dying Earth and thought "I'd love to have an adventure like this", you've found it. You can live through tales of weird & wondrous science-fantasy in the Caves of Qud. Don't read guides or the wiki: play this game blind and be prepared for anything. This game is guaranteed to surprise you!
