Played the game and couldn't even get past the boss fight Hostilla in the begining of the game. And i have it on normal. I've played so many games, Dragon age origins, Pathfinder kingmaker, pillars of enternity. And yet im so dissapointed in this game as it is so flawed in its combat design. Everything else is great but the fact that they make a very powerful boss at the begining when you have no real powers or abilities is a dumb part on them. I couldn't recommend a game that is so poorly design. Which sucks cause i wanna love it and experience everything else it has to offer. But based on what i've seen others have said about it idk if i want to know
The biggest thing i hate about this, is that buildings are reduce to 12 and you get one building slot for every 2 pops. And on top of that adding a new district. Plus im getting constant graphical errors and no mods are installed
This game is fun and the world is massive and immserive. But this game needs a lot fo work and i mean a lot. Cause it doesn't feel like a RPG, cause no matter what ending you choose it's all the same. Killing your self, letting johnny take over or just waiting it out. Plus most the characters are forgettable once the missions are done with. The hype came cause of the Witcher 3 game, which dissapoints me.
Compared to Mount and blade warband this game doesn't deserve 4 or even 5 stars. This game needs so much work. 1) Khuzait are just snowballing everything. I have tried 6 different games starting from the begining and about the 50th to 60th day in they just stream roll the North and southern empire and then the Sturgia 2) lack of ways to gain relationships with any one. But yet be 200 ways to lose relationship points. Hell i released a lord and they went -45. But join a lord in a battle and i get jack shit. Where is the rescuse lord from prison, train troops for lord, or what ever. 3) bandit galore, hell far every where i look there is bandits just everywhere, warband was bad for bandits but holy shit, its like someone sprinkled bandits everywhere and said "ehhhh tHeY LikE bAnDiTs" 4) gear is just shitty and doesn't feel like it levels up with the player or the clan so i give it a 2/5 or a 4/10 till they add some more flavor to the game, cause honestly the game is dull, over powered faction steam rolling everyone, lack of ways to gain relationships and the game doesn't inform you of your clan leveling up
I bought it while on sale so im happy i didn't get at full price cause it isn't worth 49.99 i would value it at only 15 The reason is cause you have no control over save files, it is all auto save. So if you do something to bad you got to start all over to fix the problem or get different results. I hate autosave only games. The other reason is if you use any ammo, or serums and get defeated you lose them till you go back to get more. Tough boss fight and lost to bad you gotta do it now without your shit or risk going through areas where enemies respawned to get more just to hike it back and maybe lose again and repeat. Pro's -Story was decent enough to keep me playing -atomsphere is amazing and love the 1918's london with war, diease, poverty -charcter stories and how to know them is interesting but to much of hassle and can make mistakes (can't fix it if you missed the right choice to get the hint or forgot it in a previous chapter) -different outcomes if you embrace anyone or not Con's -combat needs a lot of work, half the time it seemed like the parry or dodge wouldn't work at all -autosave is a big no from me -interacting with charcters is boring, and has no emotions -stamina is to low for starting out and can quickly get you killed -Enemies seem like they kill you with 2 hits but take 20 and don't even flinch -forced to do the walkthrough on how to play the game or be punished overall score 4.7/10
Okay i did get the game for free after buying $20 in games. But this game is to dam hard even on easy. The tutorial doesn't even help that much at the begining and doesn't explain factions that well till after i shot at a crate and get blasted and killed within 30 seconds and this was on the first run. Plus being chased by more powerful baddies at the very start that has more powerful ships. It also doesn't explain the whole leveling up and what happens when you die. Including losing everything that you get in each run. And putting the game on easy just slows the prgression and doesn't change the enemies at all. Sorry but this game isn't for me. The game however is amazingly beautiful and runs great. Not sure about the story as i quit after my 3rd run
I loved this game and was really getting into it with each day i played it. But this new 2.2 update just makes the game worse then it was. Making me mircomange more and not able to find things cause it's hidden behind other crap. The only good out of the new updates was the merchent galatic market and new structures. But the Pop mangement and planet system is a nightmare. Want to find a certain pop that is a slave to sell then you can't go to the planet to select it you must go through tabs and more tabs to find the citizen tab to find the slave you want to sell. You also can't tell Pops where to move to now either. Good job paradox you really fucked up
