Factorio: Space Age

Doing it better

You fell out of space. You said: "I'll be home for breakfast...." But you realised it isn't that simple. In 2.0 you don't say that anymore. Time to think big. Not one planet but 5 planets. It is unsure if you still want to go home. Why go home when there is so much more to explore, to build and to conquer. You take a step back in time and although you are wiser now and have more knowledge it still takes some time to rebuild your imperium from the ground back until you can touch the emptiness of space. Luckily it is possible to set preferences for every planet. So you feel confident and comfortable. You look at your mod portal. So much to choose from. It is hard to resist. Does something exists better than the best? Probably not. So you keep going. Even the best need sometimes some change to keep things interesting. Again looking at your mod portal you know for sure: this will be eternal.

X4: Timelines Soundtrack

Another great addition

Again a great addition to the soundtrack collection of X4. All the soundtracks are of great quality. Diverse, fitting and also great for listening during work or background music. This may not be my favorite (which is the Cradle of Humanity soundtrack) but on the other side there can only be one the best.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War - Soundtrack + Wallpapers

Nice to have

A good soundtrack that fits well into the game but can also be listened to during work or study. The flacs (around the 800kb/s) are notably better than the ogg's (around the 150 kb/s) that come with the game. So convert them to the highest quality ogg files and overwrite the files in the game folder. The text says 13 tracks but they are updated with the tracks from the faction DLC's. So the package now contains 21 files (at the moment of writing the latest Eldar DLC)

Sudden Strike 4

Catchy gameplay

Back in the days I played Sudden Strike 1 and SS Forever. Didn't bought 2 because it was 1 with a few extra's. Number 3 had too much gamebreaking issues. Saw the pre order did read a few reviews wich where mostly negative because the gameplay was different. Exactly what I was looking for. Did some calculations and thought that the pre order was quite a good deal or I had to wait much longer for such a price drop. The good: -The gameplay is defenitly not the same as 1 or 2. Quite catchy and responsive. -Nice physics -Good graphics -Encountered no technical game breaking bugs (found none so far yet) -Performance is quite good (laptop i7 2GHz Nvidia 970M 16GB Ram) -Well scripted campaigns -AI performs ok -Lots and lots of gameplay options The bad: -Skirmish/MP is somewhat underwhelming (maps all too much the same including Kursk, no stationary/AT guns or machinegun nests, no bunkers) -Armor quite overpowered (or infantry is too useless) -Repair truck? It only fixes broken guns and broken tracks. No damage. In MP or skirmisch the gameplay is too fast to bother repairing. Useless... -Medic? The gameplay is in MP and skirmish too fast. And infantry dies to fast before a medic can be of any use. Sudden Strike 4 is a good and solid game that differs from its predecessors. I do recommend this game (though you have to decide for yourself what price you will pay for it).
