So after wasting my time buying this game, and wasting my bandwidth to download it, I'm SMACKED IN THE FACE!!! with a EULA from Focus Entertainment themselves right at launching the game (didn't see that coming.) So I'll be "REFUNDING" the game and blacklisting Focus Entertainment. SO LONG SUCKERS!!!! YOU LOOSE I WIN hehehehe. :-)
As the title says it all. There charging the same price here on GOG as they are an Steam, however here you don't get the say features as you do with the Steam version in that the GOG version you don't get any of the Multiplayer stuff. So if that's the case then the GOG version should by all rights be around 10 to 15 bucks cheaper. So I'm going to see if I can get my money bock for this game fingers crossed.
So I know this is a demo of the game so this review is only based on this demo. So I understand it;s a demo but seriously the sound section in the settings menu needs to be unlocked. I hate playing games with music and sense I started the game and guess what......... there was music playing, I immediately shut the demo off. I couldn't play it like that. So I guess this is really more of a request to enable the sound in the demo please and thank you. :-)
So in the movies RoboCop had pinpoint accuracy but in this game I died in the news studio right when you go into the building for the first time on easy mode cause there's zero aim assist and I couldn't hit anything. I've played alot of shooter games and I've never had this much trouble killing things like in this train wreck. So a sarcastic thanks to all the players that cried to the devs that the aim assist made the game too easy in the demo and ruining a game that I couldn't wait to play. So thanks alot for nothing. Also thanks for nothing from the devs for not putting an aim assist option in the options menu for those that want it and for those that don't.
As the title says. This game should've never been ported to PC........ or at least in the poor state that it's in. Though the game is good as I played it on console, the PC port sucks. As any gamer knows a game can be very good but if the controls suck then sadly the rest of the game suffers for it and this game is no exception and so that's why I can't/wont recommend this game on PC. If you have a console then I would suggest you bye it on there and forget about this PC ported train wreck.
Not cool with buying a game on a platform that claims to be DRM free only to be greeted with a message when I start the game saying give us all your date or some of it either way just give it to us. No! So I'm asking for a refund. If Sony ever reverses this decision then I might re-buy the game. But until then NOPE!.
So I been playing this for a short time now but in that sort time I've had both fun and frustration. Pros. Has good gameplay, The graphics are very good as well, runs smooth and has a good progression system. Cons. (Aside from being early access.) Can't save at anytime during your game session which lead to me loosing an hour of gameplay cause I went to go look at a ? location behind a house property and got stuck cause your idiot player character can't swim and so I couldn't climb up the embankment nor cross a foot or so of water to go anywhere. So I had to reload. when plowing with hand tools you don't get the full width that's displayed before you start pushing the tool.
