PO'ed: Definitive Edition

One of the worst FPS I ever played

Is there anything redeeming in this atrocity of a "game"? If you didnt play this ( like me) atrocity when It originally released, do yourself a big favor and leave this alone. Controls are very bad, but I guess its like that already in the code. Floors dont even have textures and the 3D surroundings look like a bad joke compared to vanilla Doom (1993) but this game came out in 1995! No seriously, the original Doom wipes the floor with this. The level designer must have been a rookie. If you play this "game" you ve been asking youself all the time, if this is a joke. The enemies all have seizures because the animation/sprite work is so weak. The wall textures ( if they even bothered to use textures) look almost like ms paint drawings. The problem is not that the textures are sooo low (32x32 ???) Its the art style that is really bad. The ladders look worser than in an 8bit console game and thats saying a lot. The sound design is bad too. What did I expect? Its so bad you turn it off after a few minutes. Enemies just walk mindless to the player. Or not. The bunnylike woman in stage 2 dont even bother. The projectiles just shot at the player. This is amateur coding in an amateur game. The best thing bout the game is the weapon sprite. No really. Played stage 1 and 2. Saw 2 weapons. The product is crap. Another example that its not that easy to replicate the Doom formula, like they thought to make an easy dime. I have the steam version. But i regret it. Why play this when you can play a dozen of awesome FPS Dont let it fool you by story and artwork. Its so bad, Corridor 7 is a masterpiece compared to this. And thats saying a lot.

Monkey King: Master of the Clouds

A painful journey with no options

Not recommended. Yes its a remake of an old Master System game. I rather play the original, because this version here is far to hard. I play hard games on old consoles, and i know that said games are not a breath, but when a game is hard it needs also to be fair. This remake here isnt fair. If you die, and its a one hit game, then you re set back to the beginning of the stage & stripped down and lose all power ups. The collision detection of the player is very unclear and the merciless and spawning of the enemies is an isult to any player. I tried 30 minutes to beat stage 1, but i couldnt manage it. The boss shots projectile that bounces of the edge. The game is bullet hell unfair and insulting The cute sprite art and the generic music cant save this atrocity. I dont do reviews normally, but i have to warn people about this. Bionic Commando on the NES is childs play compared to this. You blast off the Fuhrers face like a triple time before even ever beat level 1 of this really unfair game. We like all challenges, but we dont have time to spend on unfair and bad designed videogames.

Downfall

I really love gog.com. The idea behind it is strong. BUT: There are many games I already own from my gamer past, AND why should I buy Downfall, when I can have it for free from Harvester Games? And btw next year is coming the new version of it. Sometimes the gog.com politics are very strange. Also, the most games are Abandonware, so why to buy them again? After all, they are still running in the DOS BOX ? So, nithing I couldnt do on my own. I think gog.com is really a good thing, to bring the newer games and indies here DRM FREE. But the old games? Why should i buy again what i already DO OWN? I ask myself ? And also, the most games are far to expensive, for example why sholud anybody buy the HUGO trilogy? Those games were already freeware / shareware in the past? So i dont think there is much sense in it? So thats why I rate it a ONE. Because of the pirze, not because of the game.
