Saw ProJared playing it and was very curious to get in on the zombie action myself. Glad I did. It's a lot more engaging and colorful than Organ Trail with better music, sound effects, and UI. I played it with a USB gamepad since the control scheme was a bit weird and the movements were a little stiff, but overall that didn't detract from the fun for me. One of my only other gripes was that the character creation interface was slow and arduous having to save and then alter the character you just made to create a new one to save. It's possible I missed something somewhere, but after making my character and a buddy I was too anxious to play to create new characters to randomly meet.

I spent hours on this game when I first got it, but with the inability to make multiple saves it can be difficult to decide how to plan out your main island. Some of the gold prices are a bit steep and parts of the game feel like a huge grind. It's still fun, though, when you've got a little while to kill. Super cute.

From the music to the level design Hotline Miami is a real treat. It can get rather difficult in parts and there are some issues I had, but I assume those were poor luck on my part. One of those games where your pulse pounds as you frantically look for the last baddie on the map. You notice they have a gun and all you've got is a knife. That split second where you hope your knife sticks. It's a rush.
