You will eventually die, maybe you fall off a roof or your planned exit route gets blocked. Doesn't matter, its gonna happen whether its an hour in or 1000 hours in. I picked this game up last year and I have not encountered a bug yet but a lot of the features promised have not been released yet. I don't know what the devs are doing tbh, that guy below me is right on the fact they got some guy(s) hammering on a keyboard to pump out text for some blog probably to distract people from the missing features. Multiplayer is pretty fun once you figure out what mods or add-ons the servers are using, just beware its almost as bad as Rust if there are no rules. You will probably be blasted at spawn. This is as low as the price is gonna be till after release, the Devs way to thanking the early backers of this game.
To be short, if you liked Terraria you will probably like this game. Worth more of a 3.5 imo. I enjoyed the fact that there are different planets you can fly to and strip clean, for me that means I am not bogged down on one map where I have to be careful what I start destroying so it doesn't look like I live on Jakku. Sure this game is a sort of shell of what is promised and the next big patch can leave your last character save obsolete but that happens with most In-Dev/Early Access games, I don't why people think different. Though Terraria actually has an endgame with bosses and a progression to hardcore Starbound does not and if it does I have not found it. The price is pretty good, lowest I've seen it. I don't think it would get any lower prior to release.
