This little space looter-shooter is a real hidden gem. It's basically Edge Of Tomorrow set in space. Shoot, Loot, Die, Repeat. The RPG style upgrades genuinely make a diffference and make the next run a bit longer and a little better. It's a straightforward concept that's well executed, with a solid control system, good graphics, and decent audio. The story line is as clumsy, cheesy and trope-riddled as you'd expect from a flight/space shooter but, whilst this isn't a game you'd play for the story, it does help keep things interesting as you progress. To that end, I would highly recommend the "Encounters" DLC which adds a host of new characters (complete with thier own cringeworthy dialogue) and new mission types that really add to the game's variety. I managed to get the game and DLC for less than £5 and have played it for about 30 hours so far. I'm nowhere near through it yet, so this is incredible value. If you like flight, space, looters, or shooters then give this little gem a try and, like me, you'll probably be pleasntly surpised.
