Restarted the game 4 times. Never lasted more than a couple of weeks because people are dying, resources are being depleted, too cold outside, and so on. Not fun.
On my desktop PC (Ryzen 7 8700G, 64GB RAM, nVidia 4070 Ti Super) the game crashes after 15-30 minutes and brings the whole OS down, need to hard reset. Other, more demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 work fine on the same PC, and the computer is very stable otherwise, it’s unlikely to be a hardware issue. Does not happen on a laptop with CPU-integrated AMD GPU, though. Cloud synchronization is unreliable, destroys save files by synchronizing in the wrong direction.
When you pick class, level character, upgrade weapons, etc., these changes are irreversible. If you’ve made suboptimal choices, you’ll only know about that in the late stages of the Hordes of the Underdark campaign, when bosses will be unbeatable no matter you do, and it’s too late to change anything. I’ve stopped playing unable to beat guardian of the path, at Deepest Wastes of Cania. The character is druid 26, specialized in long bows, with a fully upgraded one. Keep dying regardless of what I do, using all buffs, tried all shapechange forms, doesn’t help. Used cheats to become druid 31 and confirm — yep, same result.
