E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy - Single-Player Edition

Unpolished but unbelievably unique

This game maintains a mysterious warhammeresque type of aura. Dialogue, game systems and story is pretty much left to explore and quite esoteric but this game really attempts to do its own stuff. There are 0 affordances by other designs. From the smallest things (reloads are not automatic) to the biggest things (plots, objectives not directly spelt out etc,). Strongly recommend to at least try!

XCOM® 2

Stellar tactical game with actual story

This is an overall great game. The tactical genre always had its charm with user generated stories. This is still here, but enhanced with an actual plot too. Gameplay is awesome. The tactics are the bests that I have ever seen. Performance, variety and sound design are also top quality. This is a work of craftmanship. My only complaints are subjective: 1) The aesthetics have shifted a bit more to exaggerated and cartoonish and less realistic. Same with the dialogue some times. 2) The gameplay is *too* streamlined. Yes, you practically go from mission to mission, always with some clear goal in mind and just one new gimmick. But it ends up feeling a bit artificial and lacking of strategic depth, which was somehow better preserved on the previous title.

Icewind Dale 2 Complete

Game they used to make

Disclaimer: I am biased to like this game due to fond childhood memories. But its a must have for the RPG enjoyer IMO. There is so much attention to detail, to the worlds, the music and the asethetic that it can really transport you. While a dungeon crawler, you will be surpirsed by the amount of class/ability/skill locked dialogue...
