I loved experiencing this artful and emotionally impactful story. Fantastic Norse world setting too which was refreshing. I played in VR (HP G2, with KB +mouse) which I'm sure helped to even further heighten the impact of both the exciting combat and the powerful and at many times dark emotions. NOTE: Make sure to turn up the quality slider if you can! I have a 3080 and the default of 150 was WAY below what it could do, I played with max visual options and around 250 on the slider, which made it MUCH crisper. Hats off to the team for a stellar product, and for doing such a great level of real world research into the subject matter. Very much enjoyed watching the creation/behind the scenes movie after I had finished the game! Strongly recommended for those with an interest in the human psyche or lovers of dark and intense storytelling. It is a highly mature story, and given the subject matter be prepared for it to be at times a harrowing experience. HEADPHONES ARE A MUST - sound design is integral to the experience. Also play in VR if you can, to add to the immersion in Senua's mind/world.
Charming and very challenging little game, great to see it get updates over the years too. Fun multiplayer!
If you've played thousands of hours of classic MoM like I have, you may find the changes in Caster of Magic quite refreshing. Some are quality of life, some are new units and spells. Breathes new life into an already excellent 4X game!
