Overview Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Complete is the definitive edition of one of the most beloved turn-based strategy games of perhaps all time. Set in the high-fantasy world of Erathia, it tasks you with building towns, recruiting armies, gathering resources, and battling foes on both adventure and tactical maps. (The Might and Magic universe is a sci-fi/fantasy hybrid, even if Heroes 3 feels purely medieval.) I remember when it got out, i started playing the game about month after in '99, my mind was blown away and no game could compete with HoMM at that time. This version includes all expansions, adding new campaigns, heroes, factions, and gameplay mechanics—making it the ultimate way to experience the game. *What makes it great Timeless Gameplay: Its blend of town management, exploration, and turn-based combat remains satisfying and addictive even decades later. Variety of factions: From Necropolis to Castle, each town type feels distinct, with unique units and play styles. Rich content: Dozens of campaigns, hundreds of maps, and a powerful map editor offer near-endless replayability. Balanced strategy: Success relies on smart army composition, hero development, and map control—not just brute force. Classic arts & music: Iconic pixel-art visuals and a memorable soundtrack give it a nostalgic charm that still holds up thanks to Paul Anthony Romero (the Legend) *A Few Drawbacks AI Quirks: Enemy behavior isn’t always smart or fair, especially on harder difficulties. Steep for Newcomers: The game doesn’t explain its deeper mechanics well—you’ll learn best by trial and error or guides. *Final Thoughts: Heroes of Might and Magic III is a masterclass in strategy game design. Whether you're a returning fan or new to the series, it offers deep tactical gameplay, charming fantasy aesthetics, and unmatched replay value. A true classic that’s still worth playing today, forever maybe...
If you like Warhammer 40K but at the same time Panzer General you will absolutely love this gem. Rites of War is a classic turn-based strategy game set in the grim dark future of the 40K universe. It puts you in command of the enigmatic Eldar as they battle humans and Tyranids on a contested planet. Built on the Panzer General II engine, it combines hex-based tactical gameplay with RPG-like unit progression and a story driven campaign. 👍 What It Does Well: Faithful 40K Atmosphere: The game does a solid job capturing the feel of the 40K universe, especially from the Eldars perspective—a rarity in games. Tactical Depth: Unit positioning, line-of-sight, and initiative play key roles, rewarding thoughtful planning. Progression and Customization: Units gain experience and can level up, with elite Eldar units even becoming Exarchs Multiple Campaigns: While the main story follows the Eldar, you can also play standalone scenarios as the Tyranids or Imperial forces. 👎 Where It Falls Short: Outdated Engine: The Panzer General II engine was already aging by 1999. While functional, it limits the game’s flexibility and visual appeal. Clunky Interface: The UI feels dated and unintuitive, especially by modern standards. Steep Learning Curve: The game throws a lot of mechanics at you quickly, and there's minimal hand-holding. 🎨 Presentation: Graphics: 2D, sprite-based visuals that are vibrant for the era but dated now.( Until someone makes a mod) Sound & Music: Atmospheric but repetitive—more functional than memorable. Narrative: The Eldar story is engaging for lore fans, but storytelling is mostly delivered through briefings and text. Who Should Play It: Warhammer 40K enthusiasts interested in the Eldar perspective. Fans of classic hex-based strategy games with RPG elements. Retro gamers looking to explore older 40K titles. Who Should Skip It: Players seeking modern visuals and streamlined interfaces. Thanks GOG for preservation program!
First of all, this is not Morrowind clone but could i say this game is better than Morrowind? My answer is no it is not. These two games are not in the same category at all. Arx Fatalis takes place beneath the surface after their Sun died off, reasons i am not gonna share. So all the all the species worked together to move the entire human populous underground so they can survive the cold which impacted the surface. The entire game is about the underground. Is it dungeon crawler? No not in a sense, every level is different and almost every level represents (sort of) different species and culture. In my opinion combat is far better than Morrowind, you have your weak attack and strong attack which are almost similar to Oblivion. Bow although is kinda terrible. It has some kind of glitch where you need to go to blacksmith to repair it in order to replenish them. Sneak is practically useless but you can still manage to steal some things and you need to be fast about it or you will be caught. Magic is the most unique thing in this game and i love it, you need to collect runes in order to learn magic and you need to move your mouse around in order to make magic happen. Inventory wise i thing its better than Morrowind, its more limited and realistic and you need to manage it right otherwise you will need to make a lot of trips to town to sell things. This game is old and treat it that way and you will have a blast. I am glad i had the chance to play it, very unique gem that is worth your while if you have time and patience to play it. I hope you enjoy it as much as i did!
This game/mod was made by German SureAI company, it is on German but at least we got subs for it. They made several mods for ES games and it is amazing how they created entire world and amazing story. The story is very rich, and storytelling very long but if you don't have patience it can quickly become dull because the game throws at you a lot of information, plus you need to read quickly because subtitles are moving fast. It is a lot harder than vanilla Oblivion but not that buggy(it has same crashing issues) and the world and exploration are amazing, big variety of weapons and armor, UI changed as well. This is not for everybody, i have thousands of hours in Oblivion and i really enjoyed this mod/game. Many do not like Oblivion because of its quirks and bugs but for select few this mod will be rewarding. I am giving 5 star because it was worth it for me and this is my opinion. GG
Guys, this game is EPIC and it deserves to be played. Please don't compare this with IWD or BG or even Diablo,This game is totally different league, yes game is full of bugs but you know what...tell me what game is perfect.Every game has some flaws and bugs and lame story, but this game is promising a good one just give it a try. I bought this game on sale (0,89$). I think it's 4.99$ regular price but honestly what can you buy for 5 bucks.
This is by far the best FPS i played so far.Graphics are irrelevant in this game because this game is ancient and Lucas Arts made a good job by making cartoonish like cutscenes. Puzzling levels are great, but the only real problem is that they made like 10 missions for main story. Game is great if you like old FPS stuff and cheap if you wait for discount like i did. Best 1.49 ever spent.
