Each installment of the series is a standalone game with a complete story. That said, if you want to see the full story, you'll need the 3 games of the series. The game is (are) very good. They all contains most if not all of the regular features for that type of game. They are all the "collector edition" so they have a bonus chapter after completing the main game. Recommended.
Nice story, a lot of humor and fun dialog, good puzzle and hidden object screens, everything you need to enjoy that kind of game.
Nice, enjoyable and somewhat challenging puzzle. That said, it's a very casual and relaxing game. Story is more an excuse than any other thing. Seems too short and not enough deep to be of interest really.
Gets a 3 stars because it's kind of short and may feel repetitive. You get to go through 20 levels (randomly generated) spanning 3 areas. The first 2 areas end with a "mini" boss, while the last one is the real Boss. Along the way you have to level, capture youkai, and grab loot. While you start with kind of adequate equipment, you need the loot to upgrade and be able to finish the game. The H scenes (censored) are access when you loose to a youkai. With the DLC, the scenes are still censored, but are now accessible from the main menu and you can have them all at once instead of having to lose. Pros : Straight forward, no mystery/puzzle or anything (Yeah I know that could be a con too) Randomly generated levels, so re-playable (then again, they do look all similar) Nice configurable difficulty levels. At the end there's a "Start +" feature so you can continue/restart with all your gears and level. The dungeon levels/yukais won't get tougher though. Cons : Roguelike (can't save during levels) which can a be a pro for some. While the main weapon can be upgraded with money, better armor (dress) can only be found with grinding. The mechanic to enhance youkais is not the best and requires a LOT of grinding.

If you like hidden objects (cats) game you'll love that one. Nice story, secret passages in the castle, lots and lots of cats, so there is everything to be happy. Highly recommended !
