Sword Princess Sistina

Mixed Feeling

Right at start, the game feel a bit weird for one dated as 2024. The windowed setting is quite small and the "fullscreen" (F5) is basically just a bigger window LOL. Find soon that there are a lot of bad, weird and very weird design in that game, being even entertaining after a while LOL. Did some digging and from what I've seen, it looks like the original game was not a H game and the lewd stats were in fact about love and friendship. Could be wrong but my take is that game was bought, then modified to be a H game. They also add several NPC from other games as cameo. Let's start with the RPG side. The RPG is solid and entertaining. Gameplay doesn't feel too linear, with open world and metroidvania elements. There are multiple endings (found 3), and while the story seems quite classic, the "True Ending" has a very interesting twist :) . As one of those new NPC says, there's a "virgin's route". That ended up for me with 2 endings possible. Since I banged my head on the walls to find the "True Ending", let me give you a hint : It's more about a "Lewdness=0" route than a virgin route :-D. The H part though is ....meh ! It's clear that the scenes were not drawn by the original artist, and they didn't put much effort on the sound either. The game has a "start +" feature. At the end, the game restart basically, but you keep all gears and stat except for the lewdness stats. Reaching the "True Ending" will also give you the possibility to unlock all CG scenes in the recollection room. Conclusion, if you're looking for a good RPG with a kinky side, that game worth it. If you're after H scenes more than RPG, move along as there are better game for that at the same price.

Goosebumps: The Game

Nice but could be better

It''s a point and click adventure with an "open world" vibe. I mean, while there's a linearity to the story, several area can be explore in seemingly random order. The game is fun. Of course, save often, but the game has a "retry" feature which makes the whole die/retry process less bothersome. The bad side though is that several puzzle ends up to be either with very weird hints or no hints whatsoever. Some are even really of the "wtf ?!?! why ??" type.

Well...It's a free game/demo/publicity

The good side : Great gameplay, good puzzles, and overall it's a good story. It's free. For those who like gore, it's full of it. The bad side though, while most of the puzzles are good, for some of the critical ones they are from the Thanks-God-There's-a-Walkthrough type. At least one of those were even "okay, I'll do that but why ?". The worst though, is while the story is overall good, the ending makes the whole thing pointless to play as there are no answers, no reason, just a bad way to end a game. As it is a showcase for the Stasis series, it had failed for me. No interest to play those now.

Deliver Us The Moon

Good Game !

The story and gameplay are very good. It has multiple language, voice and text. Controls are good, puzzles are fun, and moving in space is also fun. It's linear, but it doesn't get bothersome. Overall it got me gripped till the end. What I didn't like though is there is no save feature (bad design in my book). That said, the autosave is frequent enough so you don't have to play too long if you have to stop in between. Also, and I won't give spoiler, but the ending is ... meh ! It lacks logic and could have been better. Not to mention that there's a couple of loose ends that could have been better tied up with at least an epilogue.

Close To The Sun

Nice Visual Novel

It's a first person horror visual novel with a single ending divided in 10 chapters. You end up isolated on a ship that had the most brilliant scientific mind on board to conduct experiment without limit, so what can go wrong right ? Yes, it's reminiscent of Bioshock. Immersion and atmosfear are good though and the horror/gore part grow nicely with story. The game can be played, voice and writings, in multiple languages which is also good. On the bad side though, there is no save feature; you have to finish a chapter or you'll have to redo it. In my book, it's bad design. That said, there are several places where you'll have to literally run for you life and the game will automatically do a quick save prior so when you die (and you will !) you start only the chase, not the whole chapter. Those chases unfortunately don't have any room for errors and the dying cut scene can't be skip. Overall, it makes those chase repetitive instead of immersive. Several items can be interact with like newspaper and memos. While it adds to the immersion, some but not all of them, will be counted for achievement although with no obvious reason or purpose. It looks like they try to get an open ending but it fell a bit off.

Fallen Makina and the City of Ruins

Pretty Good Game

Standard Kagura game to be honest. Not their best, but enjoyable. It's a very standard RPG with basically one dungeon with around 40 levels and a nice story. A bit more linear and repetitive than their other games though (which is part of the reason it's a 4 stars). That said, it's the only game I've seen with a "Level shop" where you can buy levels !!! :-) As always there's a stat, here is "depravity", that may gives different path depending on the value; the highest means more lewd, but also may mean early ending (either good or bad). I tend to play their game trying to keep that stat as low as possible and play the game to full extent. In this case, while it's possible, keeping this stat at 0 imply doing something against the persona of the character. You need to NOT help someone because if you do, you can't avoid the Hscene and end up having a stat at 5. While it's far from being a big deal and doesn't change anything, I found it irritating (LOL I'm a sucker for good story and it's the other part of rating 4/5). Anyhow, after finishing the game, as usual, you can have access to all H scene and enjoy them at will. If you choose to play and explore the lewd content as you go, the "Hall of Memory" has a hint system to help you unlock them. There is no type of "game +" though after you beat the game.

Detective Girl of the Steam City

Very Nice Game

It's a nice RPG, not the best but enjoyable. At start, in your inventory, key items, there's the game manual. It's quite short but informative especially for the key binding. The bad thing is that those are not configurable and the game is better played with keyboard only (mouse can be use though). Some keys are missing though, F4 to toggle windowed/full screen and F5 to restart the game even when it's stuck. So you're a young detective, a girl, in London in a steampunk world. You have to solve crime/help people to gain money and Detective Point (DP). With money you can upgrade your gear (not many choice but still) and with DP upgrade your skill. You also have so equipment to help you. To upgrade those you need items that you find. As the story goes, you can help the law enforcement and you become friendly with a gang. Now it's basically 2 different routes, but you can follow both for a time. Police/People side will be with almost no fighting and with easy puzzle/mini game (more DP), while the gangster side will be more fighting (some DP/money but also more chest for the items you need to upgrade your equipment). Best is to follow both up to each their turning point, then you choose one or the other. After finishing the game, you'll have a way to restart at the turning point with all your gear/stat and do the other route. One of your stat is "Reason". Each time you do something lewd, it will drop. The more it drops, the more you become a raging masochist and have more and more H scenes (still). Since at end you can unlock and watch all H scenes, I would suggest to play the game without doing anything lewd or loosing to any gangster (I ended up with Reason at 91 since some are unavoidable). Then, after getting both "good" ends, unlock the H scene. You also have the choice of Start + to restart the game with all your gear and stat, so you'll be able to be as lewd as you wish after. Be warned that some H scenes are hardcore fetish.

Very Good

It's a puzzle game, in a 2D platformer setting. Story is nice, although both possible ends does not feel that good to me (yeah I'm a sucker for good ending) I did appreciate the novelty of the mechanic and the level of the puzzles and the game is compelling. Definitively recommended.

Enigmatis 3: The Shadow of Karkhala

Very good Hidden Object game and series

Each installment of the series is a standalone game with a complete story. That said, if you want to see the full story, you'll need the 3 games of the series. The game is (are) very good. They all contains most if not all of the regular features for that type of game. They are all the "collector edition" so they have a bonus chapter after completing the main game. Recommended.
