Redneck Rampage Collection

No.

Only buy this if you want to waste hours of your life navigating confusing, frustrating levels searching for a key to progress. So annoying. I should not have bought this ****

SiN Gold

Excell- oh wait. No.

Great until insta-fail stealth mission and frustrating garbage. Yes, I grew up with these games and they made use of stuff like instant fail stealth, jumping puzzles, and other stupid stuff... but that doesn't make it good.

Kingpin: Life of Crime

Nope.

Absolutely fantastic.... until a game-breaking glitch preventing any further progress. This glitch has been around for forever and never fixed. Just another broken game from good old GOG, who for two weeks haven't even responded to any of my seven refund requests. Sound familiar?

Shadowgrounds

Ok for a While

It was really fun until my "respawns" ran out and I lost a couple hours of play time due to a game over. No saving. Just restart the entire (lengthy) level. Come on, this is PC - not Sega Genesis. Gameplay was really good until I decided I'm not going to continue literally wasting my time trying to just reach and see the ending.

The Suffering

Very Fun and Broken Game

Wow, nice job again, GOG. Selling a game that periodically freezes to the point that you can't even use taskanager go shut it off. Continually restarting my entire computer every time I make progress was not what I had in mind when I repurchased this classic from the undisputed vendor gods of selling broken, technical messes of games.

Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition

Selling Broken Trash

I'm sure this is a fantastic game, especially from what I've heard over the years. Yet GOG is selling people mere fragments that won't work together. The game doesn't even launch and none of the fixes I've tried work. GOG should honestly be ashamed for taking money for a complete piece of ____ like this. Disgusting.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix - Gold Edition

Honestly Not Great

PikaCommando nailed it with his review, including his apt description of the jungle level. I'm a fan of Raven Software and was really excited for SoF. The gameplay is good for its time, sort of reminiscent of Half Life. HOWEVER there's so much cheap garbage that goes on. Getting killed by grenades that come from nowhere and are often even undetectable is a problem. Enemies whose line of sight and awareness is far more than what you're capable of is a problem. Guns are deadly and war is unpredictable stand hazardous - however, this is a game, meant for entertainment. Auto-saving my way through each level (if you disable the limited allotted saves per level) breaks up the stride every couple minutes or seconds, because i never know when some cheap enemy that is impossible to even see will blindside me or instantly kill me with a (sometimes silent) grenade. Do better, Raven. Come on. Games should be fun and even challenging, but not unfair and enraging crawls.
