Well ... i loved Fear 1, i was a big fan so when this game came out i only saw consolitis. No manual saves, enemies are highlighted during slow-mo etc ... I was so mad they changed a lot of the game compared to the first that i never gave it a chance. When the game came out i just powered through it but could never get the foul taste of "betrayal" out of my mouth. I just finished it again ... And the truth is ... it's a good game. Yes i don't like the checkpoint system but this has good combat (some weapons feel a bit too light). It has a far better story than the first one because at least you get enough info to figure out what happens. There are a lot more environments, the first just plays for 90% in the armacham building. Anyway, give it a chance, it's a good game and the last good game (to me) from Monolith before Warner Bros corrupted them.
