Game's trying to be tactical rpg and a card game. To move you need to sacrifice a card. Result in juggling with your cards in hand. Also instead of having a marine wielding a bolter, he just carring a shit ton of different weapon which completely destroy any sense of "realism". The game also love to throw you tons of enemies at you, could be fun if you had the time to dispatch them. as soon as you kill one or two enemies a full squad spawn near you. So most of the time you just rush to the objective. I think the game has been designed absurdly hard to sell you cards on mobile, but here it doesn't makes any sense.

What's the point in making a challenging game if you can just respawn until everything is dead ? Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic retro FPS. The gameplay is visceral. The level design is really what you would get in the 90's shooters like Duke Nukem 3D. Complex levels with a lot of verticality. But... The weapons loadout is not well adjusted, where I prefer to use the starter pistol instead of the minigun because the later is too slow and not precise enough with just not enough damage to justify its existence. But my biggest gripe with the game are the nexus points, I waited the final release to see if the devs would change it or even give an option to change for a traditional checkpoint system but no. They never answered to the many complaints players had on the forums. To make it simple, if you die and you passed a checkpoint, the enemies you killed after the checkpoint stays dead. so you can just cheese the game and die and respawn until everything is dead. I'm sorry but it removes any challenge in the game for me.

Please downvote if you're a console peasant blinded by nostalgia. In short on console they made a simpler version due to the limitations of the Sega Saturn and the Sony playstation. Which I don't have any problem with appart that it is an inferior version of the PC game. The problem is that every idiot out there that never played or struggled with the pc version is going to say the console version is superior because it has metroidvania mechanics. Things you wont get in this version : - Intricated and beautifully crafted level in the tradition of build engines FPS. - Ammo management, you wont have to look around secrets to get thoses precious M60 ammo because here it's just a big mana pool for all weapon. - Gory deaths, in the pc version when you die, you actually see the arms of the hero lying on the floor. And they change depending on the death. If you get killed by a random monster you see your arm twitch as a pool of blood grows underneath. If you explode your arms are mutilated, if you die in lava your arms are roasted. - The pc version is also more visceral, when you shoot at anubites they growl in pain. The gameplay feels more brutal, even the hero sounds more enraged. Honestly i'm pissed off that Nightdive choosed to enhance this version of the game. Exhumed Pc is one of the best FPS of that era like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Blood.

It's a cute little game, don't go in expecting a hardcore experience. It's very casual. I'm usually not a big fan of rogue lites but I like to play it from time to time. The design is beautiful, the dungeon are fun to beat and i love to manages my little acolytes.

There's really not much added to thoses games appart from the AI upscalling. No new game modes to give the first two replayability. The first two games don't support AZERTY and no keyboard remap. Lots of bugs. - The Last Stand 1 is the classic from where it all started. It was good for a flash game but really there wasn't much content. - The last Stand 2 is the best imo, you not only search by hours but you carefully handpick the locations. once you're done with the town you can chose to travel to another city. The shame is the time limit and the fact that there is nothing but an ending screen when you arrive to Union City. Damn I could have played this story infinitively if the game would let me. It also let you set traps and give your weapons to your teamates. Really it's TLS1 but better in anyway. The game would really have beneficied from having differents modes. - Union City is a complete change from the other games, no longer a last stand but a side scroller with RPG elements and while it have a lot of good ideas, the gameplay is really wonky and the buggiest of the three.

This DLC packs even more awesomeness for the fans. Again more compelling characters, more horror, despair and hope. I only wish this was included in the main campaign instead of playing it via a new game but it's not a big deal. I hope you guys will give the same treatment and respect to the Robocop game you are preparing. Anyway thanks Teyon for not letting us down.
