Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Original Soundtrack

Andy Does it Again

Andy LaPlegua (of Combichrist fame) has one again knocked it out of the park. His work on No Mercy for the wildly underrated DMC was just a taste of what was to come. A brilliant fusion of dark nordic folk and oppressive grinding industrial is the perfect backdrop for this emotional meat grinder of a game and it manages to hold up as excellent ambient listening on its own. I'm a little sad that amazing hard left for the final song in the game didn't make it into the soundtrack, but in a way that's better because it'll keep the surprise for anyone experiencing it for the first time.

Duke Nukem 1+2

Holy Nostalgia, Batman!

An amazing beginning to an amazing series. Two platformers from back when Apogee was in it's prime. Duke Nukem began the legacy. PC Speaker, MS-Dos, massive sprawling levels. The Duke we all know and love wasn't quite himself just yet, but we still got a fantastic, expansive levels, and tight, quality platforming. Platformer enthusiasts and action shooter fans alike. Duke Nukem 2 started to introduce the character we know, making him the snarky, ego-centric, action junkie we know and love. It adds multi-directional shooting, and while smaller levels, the intricacy increased, as well as the graphic and the technology.

Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3

Reminding you to be afraid of the dark

Ahh, the great grand-daddy of the modern survival horror genre. So many fond memories and lost nights of sleep thanks to this game. It may not look so pretty now, but it's still one of the greatest games of all time.
