A SRPG/JRPG(?) with mouse support? Mamma Mia, 5 stars. Honestly, how have so few JRPGS and SRPGS (good) mouse (+kb) support? If you strip the game away, it's basically a bunch of menus and clicking tiles while you might need to move with wasd and jump with space, etc.. Can´t be that hard to implement, right? I have played less than an hour but pretty fun so far.
F this, I´m giving one star this time...Raising the price by 100% once again out of nowhere...Guess what, it can´t even be "justified" by being in the Preservation Program...Absolute dogshit...I feel sorry for who actually likes the 8dof genre.

I watched my dad play this, I played this myself ten years ago and right now I´m doing a second playthrough for a mod...The sequel is not on GOG but I would definitely recommend it if you like this one...It has many qol features and has more player interaction/choices that matter. Drakensang Campaign Mod (also available in English): httpx://www.moddb.com/mods/the-eye-of-the-goddess Drakensang: River of Time Campaign Mod:httpx://www.dsa-drakensang.de/?go=dlfile&id=46 (might be German only?) (Played retail only, own GOG version) P.S.: If GOG does not allow links in reviews, just replace the x in https with an s.

No replaying old stages to grind faith, so its easy to mess up as i took the cleric as my second hero...Tough luck...No several savegames, no confirmation if you want to start a new game...I also had the problem with the mac version where tiles would frequently not move until the xth try.

I played through this game the first time on easy... A look in the manual reveals why the "secret" level is mostly secret...As this is a older game, this game has two easy modes instead of two variants of hard...So most people propably played this once on Easy without realizing and thus haven´t unlocked the level after completing the game...So with that knowledge i played the game on hard which was also fun, though doing it for the secret level isn´t really worth it as its basically just killing enemy waves that get increasingly harder the nearer you draw to the statue of liberty. It´s a 5-10 minute challenge level and thats it. Don´t expect anything crazy with playing on hard as well, you don´t really need to get more tactical...Just push your squad less headfirsst into fights...Though what you will quickly realize is that killing enemies really eats your ammo as their health pool gets larger and they hit harder which just means letting your squad defend a good spot for longer instead of helping them with the weaker enemies.
