This game plays like a nice mix of double Dragon meets mid-2000 flash games it is rather simplistic and repetitive but has a large cast of characters and makes for some fun local co-op experiences not worth it at the recommended price but have seen it on sale for two dollars which is more than worthy of this well-made if a little repetitive game
As others have said I quite liked the look on the game and thought that it was going to be a tough but fair experience however the lack of frequent checkpoints and an obscure level select system prevent me from recommending it just as I thought I got the hang of the game it would to constantly through challenges that took so long to understand and overcome purely from repetition that any fun I had and accomplishment I felt defeating its many challenges was lessened by the fact I couldn't save unless I beat the boss of the first level for which it takes far too long and is far too difficult to routinely bash my head against a wall just to make a sliver of progress in a game I stopped enjoying about an hour in has so much potential but is easily ruined sadly
Fast paced Minimalist retro action game That is easy to pick up and play but difficult to master with tons of awesome add-on and Load outs to experiment with This is the perfect just one more go type of game that will have you playing for quite some time
while The game itself is a brilliant late 90s 2-D fighting game with unique characters amazing art and great gameplay the port itself is sadly imperfect minor input lag occasional audio glitches and some other minor issues really prevent this game from receiving a perfect score hopefully one day they can fix some of these issues
Don't let the simple gameplay and simplistic art style fool you this is an incredibly well-written hilarious turn based game it's not so much about the challenge or the strategy but more the enjoyment you'll have reading the well-written dialogue and interesting characters and exploring the hilarious world of the game plus now with controller support it's more accessible than ever great work guys I look forward to your future games
Put simply this game is just fun with a lovely throwback retro art style a simplistic but challenging gameplay style and one of the best 8-bit soundtracks I've ever heard this game gets a lot right. The dialogue is Fun if minimal and the premise is pretty straightforward being a side scrolling platformer with an antigravity mechanic and some light puzzle solving there isn't too much here but what is here is top-notch highly recommended especially given how cheap the game can go for during a sale if it looks like something you might be interested in you are sure to get your money's worth
Intense side scrolling action is the name of the game here with completely destructible environments and a variety of characters inspired by Hollywood action films each with their own unique play styles and strategies make for quite the open-ended approach when completing the games many levels as far as I could tell there is no way to select A specific Bro When tackling a level With the game choosing to randomly assign characters when the player gains or loses a life which can be somewhat disheartening if you've grown fond of a particular characters play style and abilities Or have a particular character in mind for a certain level however the constantly changing nature of the gameplay does lead to the player having to think on their feet and constantly vary their approach to each situation. I chose to play this game solo however I can see the game being a fun couch co-op game If a little hectic given how easily destructible the environment can become with so many players causing explosions and general chaos which I could easily see leading to some unintentional deaths all in all the game is a fun fast paced throwback to old school side scrolling action with a ton of pop culture serving as the main hook. highly recommended
