Played this when it came out 12 years ago. Just bought the sequel and figured I'd play again before playing sequel. Both are great games. Great controls. Not overly difficult on medium.
This game has potential. Not as is though. The character movements are far off from dialogue. Crouch mode was getting stuck. Prompt on screen wouldn't go away to grab something from inventory when I didn't have it. I paid $15 and did a rare refund request. It's now $30. Pay $30 to be a beta tester if you like but there are better games to put the money to.
The story follows along from begining to end. The fighting is impressive. Would have liked to see more fighiting moves. Graphics are good.
Some of the puzzles were quite challenging. The story within the papers you pick up has you questioning what happened in the different worlds. If you are looking to step away from the insane action games and looking for puzzles, this is it. Probably the most puzzling game I've played.
I customize my gun to not have a sight yet it does on the next level. 5 minute in and it crashed. Game would start but not load the level again until I noticed the graphic settings changed after the crash. Saw the 2 minutes of developer ads about 10x. Sound effects block out important details the person is saying. $5 so had to give it a try.
