Nobody Wants to Die features exceptional storytelling, a meticulously crafted dystopian-noir atmosphere, stunning visuals, outstanding sound, and music design, detective mechanics flawlessly implemented, a compelling plot, and well-profiled and developed characters. It stands as an excellent cinematic narrative adventure. I highly recommend it if you like the type of game and genre, and I rate it a 9 out of 10. NB. I wish its availability on GOG had not been delayed for days because that made me play it on another platform, since I had been following the project for many months and this time I couldn't wait.
I purchased and completed it on a different game platform. Be aware: It's an unfinished interactive movie/product. Where is Book 3? It doesn't exist or will. Be ready to see no ending for this game, nor an open ending. The game ends without any conclusion or a reason for it. I cannot understand why this game was released and sold as it is.
Story-wise, it is a well-narrated and built prequel to a great sci-fi novel. Gameplay-wise, it is a well-executed interactive movie and adventure-like type (aka "walking simulator") videogame with great storytelling and dialogue choices. Performance-wise, it is a not very demanding videogame with pretty decent optimization without serious stuttering issues (except occasional hitches during world traversal and some in-game cinematic sequences). Aesthetically and visually-wise, it is beatiful and features a good photo mode to take screenshots during gameplay. Music and sound-wise, it features a great soundtrack and well-made sound effects that perfectly accompany the development of the adventure and its different crucial events. All in all, it is a great sci-fi interactive-movie-type adventure video game. Recommended.
Excellent remake of a classic. Faithful to the original, but enhanced and recreated for the better in many ways. Probably one of the best games of the year. The long wait was worth it. It's a highly recommended game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that I have been following and looking forward to since CD Projekt Red announced its development years ago especially since the announcement came from the developers of an acclaimed and successful fantasy action RPG series, The Witcher. What struck me most about the announcement and development of Cyberpunk 2077 was the potential of a game with a powerful mix of elements that I found very attractive and interesting. I like the dystopian and cyberpunk atmosphere, setting, and plot, as I am a fan of the dystopian plots even in books, and the possibilities for philosophical reflection they offer about our current real-world and our current and future life paths strongly based on technology. As a lover of first-person shooters and RPG games, the possibility of enjoying the previous elements from this perspective was another point that undoubtedly has made me enjoy it. In my opinion, the game complies enough with all the elements above, and visually it looks amazing in almost every Night City location I’ve seen. Therefore, the game meets all my expectations despite some RPG aspects that might be potentiated, like a higher variety of NPC conversations and interaction with them, more freedom and variety for daily activities outside the main missions or secondary plots, and some technical and optimization flaws. The game’s main flaw is probably a poor and very basic NPC AI. Overall, I consider Cyberpunk 2077 a great game. I’m really enjoying it, and visually and graphically it is a blast, despite some glitches here and there. That said, I was quite disappointed with the level of performance optimization, gameplay bugs, and graphics glitches it showed on day one. Fortunately, the developer team is fixing many of those issues through patches.
Recuerdo haber jugado a este juego allá por 2012, el año de su lanzamiento original, pero no ha sido hasta ahora en 2020, cuando lo que he completado; sinceramente, no entiendo cómo no lo hice por aquel entonces, ya que hoy sólo puedo decir que se trata de una obra maestra en todos los sentidos. Todos los aspectos y apartados del juego son sobresalientes. Su gameplay es fantástico, versátil en un alto grado, y muy reconfortante en todos los logros y retos que ofrece. La historia de suspense e intriga engancha desde el primer momento y facilita que uno se idenfiques fuertemente con el protagonista, Corvo, el asesino y protector real que encarnas. El sistema moral de elecciones que plantea durante sus diversos capítulos, ayuda mucho, precisamente, en esa identificación con tu personaje y potencia la immensión del jugador. Por suparte, la música, la ambientación general y de cada capítulo, junto con el estilo gráfico y estético casan perfectamente con la historia principal y su trasfondos secundarios, no menos interesantes. La versatilidad del juego antes mencionada, te permitirá siempre emplear distintos modos y estrategias a la hora de cumplir tus objetivos: desde una aproximación de sigilo puro, no letal y sin magia ni poderes, pasando por estilos o estrategias híbridas, hasta encarnar un estilo caótico y extremadamente letal y violento. Gráficamente luce todavía muy bien, y ello pese a los años que han pasado desde que vio la luz y basarse en Unreal Engine 3 (hoy se usa UE4+ y pronto empezaremos a ver juegos UE5); seguramente, gran parte del mérito para que siga deleitando la vista del jugador tiene que ver con si extraordinaria dirección artística, sin duda uno de los aspectos más sobresaliente del juego. Este juego es como un buen vino, mejora incluso con los años. Comprad Dishonored, servíos y disfrutad. ¡Salud!
Lo estoy disfrutando más que Hitman (2016) y Hitman 2. De hecho, estos nunca me llegaron a enganchar tanto como este lo ha hecho. Su gameplay me gusta mucho, probablemente, porque se presta más e implementa mejor el uso abierto de la acción/fuerza y de las armas en distintos momentos. Además, la trama de la campaña está bien construida y me enganchó desde el principio. Técnicamente, también está muy bien optimizado, y visual y gráficamente está muy bien; sigue luciendo fantástico a día de hoy. Lo recomiendo.
Me ha gustado mucho esta demo. La he disfrutado de principio a fin y en todos sus aspectos. Sin duda, esta nueva demo alpha del juego basada en Unreal Engine le da mil vueltas en todo los sentidos a la que jugué hace años basada en Unity. Esta última me decepcionó mucho principalmente por los serios problemas de rendimiento que presentaba, por si cortísima duración y por una jugabilidad muy limitada. Sin embargo, la que tenemos aquí es todo lo contrario; en cuanto a rendimiento gráfico se nota una buena optimización (sin problemas de stuttering), todo el nivel luce realmente bien gráficamente, a la vez que consigue mantener el aspecto y la atmósfera del original que recrea; la duración de la demo está muy bien, dejándonos jugar y recorrer todo el primer nivel (Médico) del juego. Se nota que los años de desarrollo han dado sus frutos y para bien. Esta nueva demo muestra una jugabilidad muy consehuida y da buena muestra de las que serán las principales dinámicas del juego, tanto las de RPG, narrativas, de resolución de puzzles, y de exploración y combate. La música también acompaña bastante bien durante todo el desarrollo de la acción. Lo mejor es que una vez la terminas, te deja con ganas de más y con la sensación de has jugado lo suficiente como para saber si lo comprarás una vez salga el juego completo. Yo ya lo he añadido a mi lista de deseados, sólo espero no que tarde mucho en ver la luz.
