Titan Station is not exactly a horror game, it's more of a narrative thriller. There are no jump scares or monsters chasing you here. The atmosphere does a good job of conveying paranoia. The station feels grounded like a real place. I appreciate how the designer didn't try to pad the playtime with filler. The whole game can be finished in an afternoon. The one thing I didn't like were the 3-D VR sections. The controls aren't well suited to these kinds of puzzles and they just weren't very enjoyable. All in all I would recommend picking this game up on sale if you are in the mood for a bite-sized story-driven experience.
The gameplay is enjoyable and the controls work well. It plays a little like a noir Hotline Miami with Max Payne style cutscenes. It's clearly low budget but perfectly enjoyable. I didn't mind the low light level. I think it works well with the theme. The one thing I really didn't like was the music. It's grating, low-quality, and doesn't add much to the game. Overall, I would recommend picking this game up on sale if you enjoy top-down shooters.
