Celtic Kings: Rage of War

Surprisingly good and interesting

I was honestly surprised that I really liked such a small game and that it had so much to offer. The story is good, I especially liked that the Romans are not the main characters, it has a level up/training system, small details (for example, in the animations or the animations of the icons), it is easy to learn and there is a system to it. In Camelius' campaign, defeating the mad druid and the final battle against Tiberius Livius was quite nerve-wracking, but the character himself and the rest of the campaign are very good. What I didn't like was that there were parts where the game was too difficult, the enemies kept coming infinitely numbers and there wasn't really any strategy, the battle was decided by how many and how strong the units or heroes were. Furthermore, I think the 2 factions were a bit lacking, for example, they could have made separate factions for the Teutons and the Vikings, luckily, this was done in the second game, only with different nations. I still have 3 small problems. The hunger system is a bit confusing sometimes, and also the landscapes themselves. Some of the voice acting is quite weak, the levels themselves are really huge, beautiful, and there's a lot of work on them, but outside of the main missions and storyline, most of them are pretty empty. Overall, I can only recommend it. Considering that it takes up so little space and isn't expensive, I think it's a really good game and has a certain atmosphere, so it definitely deserves a chance.

Men of War: Red Tide

Longest, very difficult but very good

I was really surprised, now I know where the Condemned Heroes stuff comes from. This part is the most difficult of all so far, the campaign is very tough, the Romanians are very dirty and vile opponents, the Germans are very merciless, and the Italians were a pleasure to fight against. Pro -Finally, not just the usual "it's the Germans again." The Romanian and Italian fronts were interesting and had a great atmosphere. -Minimal story and "protagonist" characters. -Atmospheric, exciting, difficult, but not annoying. You have to fight really hard to win here, but it's -worth it. The creators must really like the topic, because there is an encyclopedia, and this sailor thread is very detailed in it. - A very diverse arsenal of weapons. Neg - Soviet weapons are sometimes surprisingly inaccurate. - The sometimes "immortal" German soldiers through whose body the bullet goes and their friends the "ghost tanks." -Sometimes the game takes itself too seriously and rushes. -The ready-made answer syndrome appears here as well, but you can prepare for it here. - The annoying action-interrupting cutscene cameras. Overall? After Soldiers and Condemned Heroes, it is the third best, fantastic part of the series! If you don't like difficult games or mean opponents, avoid it, but far away! But anyone who likes the Second World War, is a bit bored with the "only Germans" syndrome, likes the challenge or the Men of War games is simply unmissable. I admit I was a little afraid of him because of the comments, but I was right. It has its faults, sometimes it's annoying, but it's atmospheric, exciting, it can show something new even within the Second World War, it's diverse and it's simply the perfect teacher who teaches you how to fight hard and grit your teeth for a victory that you're happy to achieve and proud of yourself. 5/4.7

Faces of War

It's not bad, in fact it's good, but...

+ Good soundtracks Minimal soldier stories Sometimes it's difficult, but it's a healthy difficulty. The Soldiers-Men of War vibe it's not quite , but it's there. Most things can be learned, understood, nothing is impossible. Interesting locations and battle maps, the capture of the German island, and the fact that I am finally with the attacking Germans with enough troops and tanks were particularly appealing. It doesn't cost much and can still give you something you're happy about. - Stupid, command-rejecting units with vision problems Vile, provocative, disgusting, worm ai The tank damage system is a bad joke Rare but it's unenjoyable, monotonous Suspicious things to cheat (opponent's hits exactly what they wants, you have to beg for the gun to work and your idiot soldiers hit anything) The game likes to lie about missions sometimes Sometimes crash Overall, it wasn't bad at all. This game is the scarfaced grandfather of Men of War. There are annoying, problematic, faulty things in it, but overall it's good fun and teaches real strategies and ruthlessness. I've played with significantly worse "games" than this, this was fair even compared to them. I give him three with good intentions. It's not absolutely flawless, but anyone who likes World War II, strategy, or subjugating the enemy will like it.

CANINE

Correct, good and interesting

It is absolutely worth trying once, the theme and the game itself are interesting, it has an atmosphere, although it was obvious that Ruben would be the "main villain." What I liked: -I very liked the play of symbols, the image of the iceberg, the rabbit going deeper and deeper in the dark hole, hints that the protagonist recklessly walks into his doom, - I really liked that we could see the whole lab, the player gets an authentic picture of the experiments, and certain things are shown, especially in sections A and F. - Ruben is a tragic, terrifying and menacing villain and victim. - Not big, but round and whole. What I didn't really like: (It's not that important) - Unfortunately, you can't see the protagonist. (This also not important) - The protagonist is reckless, stupid and inconsistent. Not everyone can be perfect, but the shotgun error was a bit much. - The difficulty of the game is "interesting". Ruben is completely unpredictable, sometimes he doesn't notice you from a distance, only very close, but sometimes he starts running towards you from a distance. - The puzzle-door-opening part took a little away from the horror atmosphere, but not much. - There could have been more information about the Umbral and its boss, what made him such a "dog fanatic." So, as I wrote, it's definitely worth a try, it's not the usual slasher or boring stuff, but it also wants to give something, a message, mood and thought with symbols and the terrible subject of animal testing.

Men of War: Assault Squad GOTY Edition Upgrade

Updated opinion: I was wrong, but not.

I'm writing the following review as if I've done all the campaigns except for one, but more on that later. Commonwealth: A very pleasant disappointment, the British campaign was the best. Unfortunately, the armors is not really good, but the infantry is, however, the sas units with the vickers machine gun and the 90mm cannon are brutal. German: Everything is good, the infantry is reliable, the tanks are amazingly strong and accurate, the panther, stug III and tiger are awesomely powerful. Soviets: The infantry is good, the machine gun is particularly effective, the T-34 is not so rough, the KV-1 is unpredictable when there is no chance against it, sometimes it is a zero, but the IS-2 and SU-2, and the ISU are very strong. Japanese: Very good infantry, the tanks ones are mediocre, the machine gun is unfortunately not very good, it is more accurate, but slower than the others. USA: They are definitely the weakest, only the rangers are strong, the sherman is overrated, medium trash tank, their infantry is not very good (20-round thompson, really..), their two best weapons are the Garand and the Bar. The Firefly and the Wolverien are the only good tanks. And I didn't finish this campaign because the game is unoptimized, it crashed and deleted all my saves. I'm sorry, but it must be my fault... but I won't give it another chance. Other interesting things were the mind-reading (mainly German) mortars, the flying "ghost shells" over the tanks, the always-ready answer moves from the enemy. Special things in the campaign by usefulness: 1. Artillery (Commonwealth) 2. Goliath (Germans) 3. Airbone/airstrike (USA) 4. Banzai (Japanese) 5. For the Motherland (Soviets) Basically, it's not a bad game, I admit, and I even noticed that the more I played, the more I improved. It's definitely worth a try, but whether you like it or not, unfortunately I can't give it more than 3 stars due to its unoptimized features and bugs. This game is a strict teacher, but it can give you progress.

Elven Legacy Collection

I was wrong, but still not

I was a bit prejudiced with the first game, but at the same time I was right. I finished all four and I will write my opinion accordingly, and I will say in advance that, just like the game, I will not show mercy. Legacy: The difficulty is tolerable, Sagittel and Gylven are very strong, I like the elf faction, the story is good, some of the bonus levels are very good, some not so much. The only problem is that the last level is exaggerated and the game seems to be a bit drunk. Basically, it wasn't bad, but the Father De Lande mission unfortunately took me out of the mood because of the forced chase. Ranger: The best, Cornelius and Captain Lucius are extremely strong, I really liked the Mirralia story and Derenhalle's revenge, and Sagittel and Erestor conspiring with the bad guys. My only problem was that the main villain, Duke Ricaro Alivarez, didn't have a unique model and we never got to see him. Regardless of that, I recommend this to anyone, the siege of Rallin is difficult, but the other maps are completely fair and have a good atmosphere. Siege: Yes, a huge turn and difficult, sometimes believable and sometimes not. For example, the third level in Adrian's campaign is a bad joke, its difficulty is not authentic and what is there is complete chaos. The first two map in Karel's campaign are the Normandy landings, but after that it gets better and better. Yanrock could have had more roles, but it wasn't bad either. Not bad, but sometimes rather bad. Magic: The grand closing didn't go as it should have. Khrand is brutally strong, Ugraum gets his ending and Farrakh is completely destroyed. The difficulty on the other hand is just pathetic and frankly discredited from a story point of view, what are these ultimate armies that came out of nowhere? There are a lot of holes, what happened to Teya, King Victor, did all the outcast elves die, what happened to the four heroes after they escaped from the dwarves? So the finale didn't work out, but overall it was good.

Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

Yes, a real 3.

So the "great classic", I've played it for quite some time, so I'll write my opinion here. (This review will contain criticism, so if you don't like it, you don't have to read it) The positives: A brilliant fantasy world, great stories, the factions are well thought out, the whole world has a system, history, interesting things and of course Sandro the great. The gameplay is understandable, certain situations really require strategies, the different bonuses of the characters make the fights especially interesting and exciting, and it all has a great atmosphere and charm. I really liked certain campaigns, especially Kilgor's campaign, Gelu's campaign, Mutare's campaign and Xeron's campaign and Yog' campaign. The negatives: The ai and gameplay are often too unforgiving and difficult. It's not an excuse that I'm lame or that if I don't like it, I'll play on a harder level. No, the game gives respect to the player, that it doesn't put on a continuous show, that it always plays meanly and in many cases you have to sweat blood even from your bones to achieve success. There are some very cheat suspicious things in it. The opponent can often move more than me at the same terrerain without artifacts, even without the difficulty level and script, he/she brings armies out of nowhere, he/she reads my thoughts. What was finally the final straw was that the game kept crying and explaining that this and that land is not suitable for this magic, you can't use this and that here, it's an anti-magical area, you can't do this and that. I'm sorry, but I didn't develop the character, learn op spells, prepare the battle and pay the electricity bill for a game to be so limited while the opponent can do almost anything. The "build an impregnable castle out of nothing or gravel" philosophy contains too many exaggerations here and suppressed the atmosphere of the game. Among the campaigns that never more: New Beginning, Armageddon's Blade, Song for the Father So yeah, typical 3.

Men of War™

Correct

Well, not a Soldiers: Heroes of World War II, but it was still a very pleasant disappointment. It's easy to learn, exciting, challenging but in a healthy way, cool stories and good ideas. Of the bonus levels, the airport was perhaps one of the best in the entire game, but the others aren't bad either. The Russian campaign is very good (especially the two opposing characters, the wild Alexey and the calm Victor Reznov), the German campaign is also good, the ally was "interesting" in some places, but that jeep mass shooter is 10/10. My only problem was that sometimes the game tries to take itself too seriously and give the balance to the opponent, which sometimes succeeds, sometimes not, and the unist sometimes suffers from "vision problems" (just like in soldiers or the other games ) and they can't really shoot far, while the opponent can shoot from anywhere. And one more little thing: If you're with the Germans, the panther tank is an excellent and reliable weapon, but the king tiger was a disappointment, as its turret is strong and effective, but very inaccurate. Nevertheless, I can safely recommend it to anyone who likes World War II or strategy games, it's definitely worth a try.

Heroes of Might and Magic® 5: Bundle

Fantastic!

At first I was prejudiced, but I was very wrong, it's phenomenal! The difficulty is absolutely user friendly, the story is interesting and great, the characters (especially Markal, Raelag and Zehir) are fantastic and really a rich fantasy. Hammers of Fate sometimes returns some Heroes 2-3 ailments, but the final fight against King Tolgar is simply mind-blowing and outsanding, and Tribe of the East has a few stumbles, but a worthy finish. It's a completely fair game, I'm only sorry that the 6th and 7th episode are not up here on GOG.
