First of all - this is more of a puzzle game than an RPG. So don't go in expecting Baldur's Gate. It's a fun game, not as short as reviews would lead you to believe. The plot is the usual unfortunate "collect the crystals of the elements", but the characters are good enough to make up for it. Including the MC, which I was pleaseantly surprised to see didn't want anything to do with being a hero. It's not perfect by itself, but given that it's appropriately priced, and you can often snatch it for like 2 bucks, it gets full marks from me.

If you take a group of friends meeting to sing songs and doing silly voices for silly characters, and put all of it into a game, you get this game. You can even hear them break into laughter at the end of some lines. It's born out of passion and fun, and it shows. It's almost as if it has a soul, and I very much love it.

I have never played a game with this kind of gameplay so I may be wrong in my review, but I feel like it's too straightforward. Your units and how you build them hardly seems to make a difference. The one warband that manages to have the number advantage in ANY fight is going to win. There's basically nothing else that matters. It's fun for a while, but after finding your pace it has nothing else to offer.

And very frustrating. You mess up once, you basically can't stealth anymore for the rest of the stage. Hope you made it count because if not, the absurd amount of enemies will eventually land a shot. There is some fun to be had in this game, but it's doesn't always follow good design.
