SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech - Soundtrack

I don't own this yet...

... But the OST of the game is AMAZING.

Little Misfortune

Charming but overpriced

The game is perfect: the story keeps you guessing, there's a great blend of drama and comedy, and the voice acting is stellar. However for such a short game with such low replay value, it's not priced appropriately.

Iron Danger

Way better than you think

First of all - this is more of a puzzle game than an RPG. So don't go in expecting Baldur's Gate. It's a fun game, not as short as reviews would lead you to believe. The plot is the usual unfortunate "collect the crystals of the elements", but the characters are good enough to make up for it. Including the MC, which I was pleaseantly surprised to see didn't want anything to do with being a hero. It's not perfect by itself, but given that it's appropriately priced, and you can often snatch it for like 2 bucks, it gets full marks from me.

Once Upon a Jester

A special kind of game

If you take a group of friends meeting to sing songs and doing silly voices for silly characters, and put all of it into a game, you get this game. You can even hear them break into laughter at the end of some lines. It's born out of passion and fun, and it shows. It's almost as if it has a soul, and I very much love it.

Whispering Willows

Fine game for its basicness

There's nothing inherently wrong with it. It just feels "old", like something you may have played in the 2000s. Again, not bad, but extremely average.

Mordheim: City of the Damned

Decent game

I have never played a game with this kind of gameplay so I may be wrong in my review, but I feel like it's too straightforward. Your units and how you build them hardly seems to make a difference. The one warband that manages to have the number advantage in ANY fight is going to win. There's basically nothing else that matters. It's fun for a while, but after finding your pace it has nothing else to offer.

Intravenous

Very unfair

And very frustrating. You mess up once, you basically can't stealth anymore for the rest of the stage. Hope you made it count because if not, the absurd amount of enemies will eventually land a shot. There is some fun to be had in this game, but it's doesn't always follow good design.

Shadows: Awakening

Mostly good

It's generally a good, fun game for which I have no strong complaints. Priced a little too high for what it is. During a sale, definitely grab a copy and give it a shot, it's not bad at all.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun - Aiko's Choice

Good, but a couple missions short

To be fair it has good replay value with harder difficulty and badges to collect, but still, a few more maps would've made it truly perfect.

X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition

An amazing game

Doesn't have any flaws for me. I especially like the design of the war machines you're up against, they make for unforgettable boss fights. It's hard but it still feels fair, offering a very good challenge.
