Death Trash

This should be renamed to boring trash

At least the dude who made it knows that his game is trash. Avoid it like a plague if you want something similar to fallout.

Strangeland

Casual guessing game of allegory

Metaphors, allegories, solve some casual puzzles in a tiny carnival , a few more metaphors, a few more allegories, repeat the nonsense. This sums up the whole 4 hours experience. Using a few metaphors/allegories is ok but to structure the whole game through a plethora of those is the definition of pretentiousness. Characters exist only to spout metaphorical nonsense non-stop without contributing something meaningful to the plot. It's like those indie small pretentious movies that put you in a loop, which lets you guessing what is happening all the time. Again, it's not a bad thing to assume and /or think about meanings, and come to conclusions for yourself, but the writer over used it in an autistic way. Apparently he forgot what ancient Greek philosophers have said in the past, "all things in moderation". Story feels kinda of "dark" and at the same time uninteresting and meaningless for the reasons I've mention above. Also don't expect to get answers or interesting endings, as I said it's a guessing game not an "adventure" game. Gameplay wise also don't expect much, exploration is reduced to a minimum with very few tiny rooms to explore and interact, puzzles are very casual and the one that felt like a bit of a challenge, was retarded in the end. The only good things I have to say about this are the art style and the sound design, but of course these are not enough to recommend the game. Finally, this game has nothing in common with Sanitarium and to even compare it with it (as a few clueless folks here did) it's a disgrace.

Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure

Everything is worng with this thing.

Well, as the "author" himself has stated, everything is wrong with this pixelated story. Why would I need platforming WASD controls in my adventure? Why would I need a GAME with tons of story and not actual gameplay at all? You can easily see that the "developer" of this thing has a big grudge against the old diamonds. "While the classics were great in their time". Guess what snob, they are called classics for a reason, they are still great in this current day and age, unlike your pathetic and pretentious pixelated story that no one will remember after a month, at most. All of the descriptions are all about story, story, muh immersionn, story, story, muh immersionn story, story! Hey dude? Honestly, why won't you give it a rest and go write a novel or some comic book and let the adventure gaming to other, actually talented people? Even the pixel art has nothing special, very basic stuff that will remind you tons of other platform games. The art direction is non-existent. Everyone is a "pixel artist" nowadays. A casual walk on Twitter and you can find 10.000 pixel artists praising one another of how gud they are! Guess what primadonnas! The adventure genre needs more coders. Coders who are creative, have a clear vision and know what they are doing. To top all of this, take the icing on the cake, this pixelated thing needs W10 to run!!!LOL! What a joke, what a lovely joke. Instant black list for these "developers".

Teamfight Manager

This is a joke right?

DirectX 10 System : W10 LOL Another pathetic attempt to shill for W10 without any meaningful reason. As for the game it self? Well, it looks like shit and it plays like shit. Don't give your time and money to amateur indie scums.

Nanotale - Typing Chronicles

Another soy-infused Anecdote

Just notice how sneaky they hide the version of DX. At this point it has become an anecdote. Why do I need W10 to play this thing? Gameplay is boring and aesthetically ultra generic. GOG seem to prefer bad style-over-substance indie crap and weird anime stuff instead of real games nowadays.

Black Legend

Mediocre but Honest Devs

The game is just ok, not bad but not very good either. It has the potential but I suggest to wait a bit for some patches before buy and check again later for some reviews. The important thing is that we have some honorable devs here. No bullshit and hidden information. They made a DX11 64-bit game and include W7 64-bit OS as it should be for all people to enjoy it. I will repeat, it's not rocket science, making DX11 64-bit games and exclude W7 users is the most dishonest and scum move for any dev to do. At least these guys are honest and not MS shills. If you disagree with this you're just a vicious and toxic idiot who has no respect for other gamers. Anyone who's going to press the "No" helpful button on my review I wish him to get covid. He deserves it.

Paradise Lost

"Immersive" shit on W10

Why all of these pretentious walking abominations keep getting 5 star ratings?! How can anyone give a 5 star rating on this thing when any form of gameplay is absent?! GOG, start bringing some real games soon or your platform will face the same future of CP2077.

Arkham Horror: Mother's Embrace

The usual "Lovecraftian" Meh

Copying incantations from another game (BG) will not make your game good. None of the recent games marketed as 'Lovecraftian' are really Lovecraftian, but parodies of Lovecraft. Interestingly, certain titles which have nothing directly to do with Lovecraft, such as Soul Reaver or Clive Barker's Undying, are way more Lovecraftian. It's not about namedropping. It's about crafting the right tone, art and atmosphere.

Raji: An Ancient Epic

Meh

"Tactical" gameplay with real time? LOL. It looks popamole to me. But if Kotaku and Polygon approve this must me a gud game right? Plus, female empowerment, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Beyond a Steel Sky

Another DX11 abomination that needs W10!

Another pathetic attempt from a pathetic company to force to people a DX11 game on W10. Think of a game that tries to be BASS 2, but lacks literally anything that made BASS memorable: music, aesthetics, feel of a dystopia mixed with black comedy. The only thing the game shares with original BASS is a small number of characters and some names. It's also done so poorly it seems to be a half- finished product. That's "Beyond a Steel Sky". Is it retelling for dumb kids as I predicted : The game has nothing in common with original. At the same time there's a lot of concepts being reused: - stranger in unknown futuristic city - evil uniform guy to be avoided - getting operational shell for Joey - tricking the system to get access to further locations in the city - getting access to the apartment of a complete stranger - at some point there's mentioned ongoing war against another city, but it's never observed - interacting with LINK cyberspace - evil AI commanding murderbots to deal with troublemakers - destruction of evil AI, supposedly fixing problems of the city - Joey no longer accompanying the PC after final sequence - return to the desert TL; DR: "Beyond a Steel Sky" is a complete waste of all resources that have been spent on production. It's a failure as a sequel to BASS and as a standalone game. I hope everybody in Revolution Software gets the flu.
