Alaloth: Champions of The Four Kingdoms

Don't waste your time

I've finished this "game". Only 0.5% of people managed to endure it, regardless of their positive "reviews". 1) COMBAT The combat is a clunky mess. Slow energy recovery, weird timing for parry, super repetitive. This will be a constant for this review. 2) ENEMY To use the plural would almost be a mistake, since EVERY SINGLE ENEMY BEHAVE IN THE SAME EXACT WAY. The only difference is that some of them have ranged weapons. Yes, this include bosses and the other "champions". You'll find: Melee enemy: Gets close to you and attacks, eventually blocks. Zombie: The same, but slow. Archers/Mages:The same but ranged! When you get close they try to get away. Trolls: The same, but when they hit you they regenerate health. Not only this, they've also reused the same models over and over. 3)LOOT Have you ever played Sacred 3? In this game the loot is even MORE pointless. You get some of it random at the end of any "level", but it doesn't make any difference. I've killed Alaloth with a pair of schytes that I've bought in the starting city. Skills don't scale on anything except stats, so if you want to play a "mage" don't even bother with that. Find something that increases the crit % and/or health and you'll be fine. 4)Skills At max level you'll get 4. Some of them are utterly pointless, some of them are broken. Nobody cared enough to balance them. If you get the fire one you can clear everything by running a bit and spamming it since the enemies don't have an IA and won't even try to dodge it, even if it's super slow. 5)INSTANCES/LEVELS This game works on instances, or levels. Before every level you have an area where you can prepare yourself for it. The problem is that exploration is completely useless. You won't find anything useful in them, except one of those fucking lore books. It's just a graphical interface with some random mobs that don't even think and attacks you.
