My flavor of choice in the RTS genre, just the right pace and variety. However, this release is quite bad, they removed LAN games and force you to play through the GOG servers, and these don't work half the time. Might as well wait another couple years when they release yet another dawn of war remaster that fixes nothing.
Entirely different from modern racing games, tracks feature stunning compositions of great pixel art that make no sense, but looks great while at high speed, and you will be at high speed the whole time, curves are made at just the limit of your turning speed and you can rollback your mistakes (in SP). The tracks are NOT generated, but you can arrange them in a random order for a seamless race, if you're into endless high speed turns there's great replayability, but don't expect gameplay that requires any effort or strategy. I wanted a more relaxed endless race at a decent pace with long sections and consistent artsyle to chill, but it's close enough.
While you're getting the hang of the mechanics and attacks it might be hard to think fast but after a couple of hours the game feels perfectly fluid, like a constant dance of dodging and striking that you're not even thinking anymore, unlike Into The Breach you could play this drunk and you might even be better at it Worth mentioning, it is a rogueLITE, many elements of the campaign are constant and rather linear, the route is usually about the same, with the same types of enemies and the same "surprise" waves. You do get randomized drops and upgrades on the route, which allows you to keep trying different strategies, and enemies spawn in different spots at different rates, though it feels way closer to trying the same level with another method than a doing different (randomized) level I probably spent 100+ hours on this one (most of it before the release)
