Syberia 3: The Complete Journey

Horrible technical state

The game feels unfinished. Voices and mocap don't match the characters, textures floating everywhere, NPCs always block you from moving, quests are unintuitive, dialog options don't match what's actually said, mo/kbd controls are horrible. Abandoned the game as I couldn't progress through the water lock mission because the action prompt on the wheel doesn't work with a mouse.

XIII - Remake

Can't recommend

The game has horrible mouse acceleration, that you can't turn off. Moving around feels like swiming in tar. The AI is incosistent in the way it detects you. Stealth is supposed to be a viable way to play sections of this game but the AI makes it nearly impossible. There's also bugs, enemies spawning out of thin air, etc. At least get the classic if you can.

Majesty 2 Collection

Awesome idea, poor implementation

I love the humor, the setting, and the approach to rule using financial incentive. I hate the difficulty spike, the mission design, the AI implementation, the fact that you don't have all buildings for half of the game, and... did I mention the difficulty spike?

Dragon Age™: Origins - Ultimate Edition

A true classic

This game has stood the test of time, as the best game in its series, and one of the best RPGs of all time. The graphics may have faded over time but the plot, lore, gameplay are as engaging as they were on release. Sadly we will not get to see what this franchise could have become as it has been betrayed and defiled by its own creator. RIP DA

RoboCop: Rogue City

A horrible service to the movies

The Robocop is there but it doesn't feel like Robocop. It feels more like playing as malfunctioning microwave. First of all the performance issues. They're everywhere, from the start menu to boss fights. The game will lag even high end gear. Gameplay is awful. The game actively resists you aiming instead of offering aim assist like you'd expect from playing as Robocop. Even after turning off the mouse acceleration in the game config files, it still feels like garbage. Collisions are only for the player. The enemies can easily ignore any obstacles between them and the walking refrigerator that you're controlling. There's a mission with lots of snipers. You cannot shoot them throguh the gaps in a ladder however they can absolutely shoot you with no problem. The animations feel like a parody to a game. The entire time I felt like playing "High On Life", only that game was supposed to look like parody but this wasn't. Boss fights are you locked in an arena with no ammo, no cover, no health packs. Just a damage sponge boss, you, the lags, and the horrible aiming system. I'm giving it two stars only because of the nostalgia for the movies.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Update 2.0 made it a boring game

In Update 2.0 (aka Phantom Liberty) CDPR decided to remove all the fun aspects of the game and push the players the way they wanted them to play it. No longer are the players allowed to have fun and express themselves. Before 2.0 I like playig stealth a lot. This was what the game sold me on. I could pretty much have the watch dogs hacking experience in a propper sci-fi RPG game. I could dispatch an entire location by just getting access one camera on the network, and no alarms would be triggered. I could infiltrate into a base knockout the boss grab him and leave the location without anyone knowing. Coming to 2.0 netrunning was properly ruined. Now your hacks can be traced even without a netrunner on the opposite side. Sometimes when not using quickhacks the game just lets all the enemies know where you are even without the hack tracing excuse. Everyone just knows where you are. The other thing that impacted me are quality of life features. No longer can you upgrade a weapon of your choice and no more removable mods. It goes as far as not allowing you to remove scopes from certain weapons. WHY CDPR!? Many weapons have been nerfed and their identity stripped off just because they were adding another weapon with similar stats later in the game. Who cares, CDPR? The more choice the better! Retroactive nerfs of gear... So let's put aside the situation where you had an old save with a lot amazing equipment that got nerfed. Fine! Let's assume you need to rebalance things. But why nerf equipment obtained on a fresh save? Long story short I really wanted a tier 5 weapon before act 2. So I worked my butt to craft a T5 unity which I got the specs from a vendor. Also found a T5 silencer, and scope. I was having a blast. Along comes Update 2.01 and nerfs them to T3... T3!!! All because the game thought it was too early to have this gun. There are more bad things but I'm running low on char limit. PS: Version 1.6 still available for download on the site for now. ;)

Tyranny - Gold Edition

Dull as dishwater

First of all you start out massively underpowered, and undergeared for such a highranking badass that decides the fate of realms and has such extensive combat experience. The people around you, bow and tremble before your might, yet when you look at the character sheet there's nothing impressive. It's hard to imagine you've aided the conquest of an entire continent with just two weak spells. The combat is unimpactful, slow and dull. You'll be spending most of your time looking at the cooldown time until it's your turn to perform an attack. I thought maybe just mages have this issue, so I tried other classes and it's the same for every one.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Headache simulator 2017

Basically it's a delierous dream simulator. You might say that it is meant to be this way, but I don't think people sufferring from psychosis are opening gates by finding similar patterns in trees (this part of the game is really boring and annoying). Actually most game mechanics make no sense. This game should make up it's mind if it's fantasy or sudo realistic representation of a medical illness. I hope I am wrong and as I progress through the game it will make more sense, for now it doesn't...
